"Who’s up and who’s down in the race for the 2016 GOP nomination? Don’t blame us for asking – that contest is well under way whether voters like it or not. As we and many others have written, right now US politics is in the midst of the “invisible primary,” in which big donors, campaign consultants, and top party figures line up behind their candidates of choice. They’re setting the table before the entertaining feast of the actual primaries begins.

That said, some new ratings are out that we find pretty interesting. They’re from the “Crystal Ball” newsletter of the always quotable Larry Sabato of the University of Virginia Center for Politics. He chops the Republican field into layers, and in his top tier Dr. Sabato puts New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (No. 3, and falling); Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky (No. 2, and rising); and Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin (No. 1, and “huh”?)."

the next contestant up in the wag the dog roulette of their effort to nominate "anybody but Paul."

Ridiculous, he's never had any substantial support at all in any poll. It's like when the media was pushing Pawlenty when he was always polling at 1 or 2%.

In their defense, their news editor is from notorious neocon embedded NYT.

Interesting you should mention that. There was a time in the early days where Yahoo news was very interesting and diverse. And overnight, it became a typical MSM propaganda outlet. And yes, as it turns out, that was exactly at the same time they brought in someone from New York to run their news. Now it's just another news source co-opted for propaganda purposes.

During the 2012 election cycle I would visit Yahoo to see what was being said. (I checked every news site I could think of daily and flipped back and forth through all the major MSM channels) Yahoo was bad. Real bad. They made the Huffington Post look fair and balanced. Some of their pieces were right up there with Rachel Maddow's "work." I never knew anything different of them. Last time I checked their news ticker was filled up with anything but news. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Top ten lists and the rest of what qualifies as "news" anymore. Hopefully they go the route of Aol.

Well, the change I am talking about happened between 1999 and 2003. Can't recall the exact year.

TBH this was my experience also

Well, if Walker is the leader, meaning at the top, there's nowhere else he can go but down.
