WY - Liz Cheney loses primary race

Controlling JUST the Senate doesn't affect budgets like owning both chambers does. You can't advance an agenda with just the Senate like you can with House and Senate. I guess you weren't old enough to remember the 1990s as an adult? The capture of both chambers by the GOP in 1996 was an historic event.

I definitely do remember that. That happened at a point in my life when I was much more in line with your Limbaugh-esque partisan views. And I agree that this combination of Republican control of Congress with Democrat control of the WH did hamper the usual steady increases in spending both parties are addicted to.

This all changed in 2001 when a Republican president was inaugurated and Republican control of both Congress and the WH resulted in runaway spending again.

Yes, which happened due to September 11th. I believe we can stop talking about it now. My opinion on September 11th is not that Bush was involved in the planning or that Republicans DID 9/11 cognizantly or in concert. I did not vote for Baby Bush either time, having gone Buchanan in 00 and Peroutka in 04.

Well, you definitely don't want to talk about it then. Certainly not around here where we can and will shovel a ton of evidence under your nose.

So where do you get off lecturing us about "throwing votes away"?

Can we talk about our PROXY Ukraine shelling Nuclear Power Plant, or is there still to many Ukranian Flags Flying in USA?

Like I've said before... I know what it's like to throw votes away. But ok, I'll stop. If you guys don't care if the Dems or GOP win, I won't refute any longer.
Tired of it anyway. Btw I didn't even vote for Trump in 2020, he p'd me off so much, I voted not only 3rd party but like ... let's see... 10th party.
One reason for that however which I also stress is that Trump had no chance at all of winning my state. If I were in a swing state, I probably would have had to vote Trump. I'm serious. If you guys don't care if the Dems win again, fine.

The thing we don't want to be the case any more is the rather obvious fact that even when they lose, they win.

I'll let you in on a little secret: I vote a lot. I vote in every Republican primary. And after I've tried and failed to help Republicans put a conservative on the general election ballot, well? At that point, what's the point?

I don't know either and that's why I question our very form and nature of government so much. Some of us are more willing to vote for Republicans than others, but probably over 95% of us supported Ron and Rand, and that's why we're here. We're not going to get Rand or Massie because we are a minority. I have never - even once, had the experience of voting for a Presidential candidate and having my vote expressed by my State in the EC. I am totally and thoroughly disenfranchised.

Didn't you get the latest spin? That was the Russians shelling their own postition to make the Ukranians look bad.

When I wanted a Camaro to run quarter mile drag, I did not settle for a little Chevette or a re-labeled Pinto.

It's not because you're women. It's because you're corrupt, and because you're idiots.
