WTF Huckabee!!!???

I can't blame them, I would have still voted Paul had he dropped out.... What percent of McCain supporters would have stuck with him, had he dropped out?

In any case, there are still local elections to vote for that draw some people out.

so will you vote for Ron Paul even if he is not on the final ballot? I will be writting him in.

Mike Huckabee supporters are voting to show John McCain their numbers. They're voting to get Huckabee selected for the VP slot. I'm sure that this is what is actually happening.

This was my assumption.

It's not that they're "dedicated"--they're voting for a complete fucking hack; it's that they want him to be VP.

I don't know about the election laws where you live, I live in North Carolina and here is the law.

"I present to you North Carolina General Statute 163-123, paragraph (e):

Defeated Primary Candidate. ? No person whose name appeared on the ballot in a primary election preliminary to the general election shall be eligible to have votes counted for him as a write?in candidate for the same office in that year.

Since this paragraph does indeed apply to Ron Paul there is nothing to be gained by writing him in. Such a vote won't get past the octogenarian poll worker at your precinct. It will not get counted. Period.
it is the Law:
http://www.ncga.state.nc.us/EnactedLegislation/Statutes/HTML/BySection/Chapter_163/GS_163-123.html

If you live in North Carolina..........
cast a protest vote that will be counted, Chuck Baldwin, presidential candidate for the Constitution Party or Bob Barr for the Libertarian party.

Similarly, if I am not mistaken, if a candidate ran in the primary as a candidate for one party he cannot run as the candidate for another party, i.e. third party in the general election. Not sure if this applies everywhere, but I am fairly certain that it applies in certain states.

My vote in November will depend on what November brings with it. I will not vote for Paul just to vote for Paul. I will make my decision based on who is running first. If there is a candidate I like (3rd parties?) I will probably vote for them first.

Unfair!

I don't see how Huckabee could have still been on the ballet when he officially dropped out of the race a long time ago. How was this allowed??? They were just trying to take away vote from RP. This angers me.

I had been saying that a lot of people are voting for Huckabee because they still think that he's running. I changed my mind after Indiana.

Mike Huckabee supporters aren't voting in stupidity. They aren't throwing away their vote.

Mike Huckabee supporters are voting to show John McCain their numbers. They're voting to get Huckabee selected for the VP slot. I'm sure that this is what is actually happening.

People voting for Romney are probably doing the same thing.

What I'm saying is sort of redundant - I started another post about this.

Ballot access was gained some time ago for all the candidates so regardless of whether they drop out or not, they still show.
