Are people here purposely trying to set up a topic so they can belittle and degrade women in the guise of pretending to care about the female vote? You sure are doing a great job making future female supporters run off and drop off from the grassroots board.

It isn't very inviting to women who at first glance see mean comments. What could possibly be keeping the women away?
You! That's right, you and your belittling comments about how women shouldn't have the right to vote. How the internet is mostly male (that is usually a theory subscribed by guys who think everything is male until proven otherwise). When females see "take your shirt off" responses as to how a female could prove she is a supporter.

It may mean nothing to you but there are some pretty smart females on board right now that you are treating as if they are not smart or somehow they are less female for making the right choice in your eyes.

For all the anti-racism on this board, there sure is alot of sexism.
If racism isn't allowed here, sexism should not be either.

If you don't agree then quit making these "where are the female supporter" threads because the topic usually ends up with the same bigoted responses that would drive our female supporters away.

So are you really concerned or are you just baiting for a good laugh? What seems funny to you isn't very funny to the ones you are degrading. Can't we all just get along without personal attacks?

At first I thought, okay maybe some of these people are from someone else's campaign but it's not the case.

I think I have a double whammy against me ;) I'm a woman AND a Christian. (but I haven't seen much women bashing here... mostly just Christian bashing. :( Which is making me pretty close to leaving this board)

I am a woman and a Christian too.

I haven't seen either kind of bashing but I have seen some rude comments directed at posters that were non gender non race and non religion specific lol

We need to find ways to constructively draw in more females and christians to our message. Freedom isn't something just for brave men and nerdy research "kooks". It's something that can drive women crazy with their support if marketed properly. Psychology and ignorance are working against us right now and that is no reason to bash these demographics. We just have more work to do...........we need to find bigger and better ways of opening eyes, ears, hearts, and minds.

Now that is constructive and agree with you 100 percent!

Can you show me some threads Wildflower?

Thanks for asking, but I don't want to go look for the threads. I have mentioned before that if we want to bring over more undecided Christians to our side, we should be aware that when they read stuff like that, it won't make them feel welcome. Just something to keep in mind because other people do read this forum. Anyway, no worries. Maybe I'm just having a bad night having to do with something else (unrelated).

I've seen some women bashing as well as a lot of senior citizen bashing. Saying that old peoples votes should only count for 1/3 of what a young persons vote would is disturbing to this female senior citizen.

We're all humans... we're all working to get Ron Paul elected.

Who cares what particular "group" we belong to.

I think for now on, if someone is bashing others we need to let that person know that it's wrong and isn't going to help RP's grassroots campaign. There has just been a little too much of this going on and I'm sure the mods are too busy to notice all of it.

I've probably said a thing or two in the past...jokingly.

I apologize for anything I have said, and in advance for anything I might say in the future. :(

That said, think with your brains and not your peckers you freakin' morons!

It must be an awful experience to be an outnumbered woman on the internet. I've seen some pretty stupid and degrading things on here, and online in general. (You should hear folks on Xbox Live when a girl joins the game. Gaming nerds + woman = sad, drooling, competitive lunatics.)

Anyway, welcome to the revolution ladies, please don't let uncouth sexists deter you from posting!

:D

Have you ever considred how much "bashing" atheists have suffered over the decades? GHW Bush actually suggested that atheists were "not Americans." So please keep this in mind when you see people lashing out at Christians. It comes from frustration and being treated unequally if we were not Christian.
