I'm not sure if this has been presented before, but given that Willie Nelson has spoken so adamantly against the current form of government, do you think that it would be a good idea to try and get him to play at this march?

Having him there would obviously send a pretty strong message in itself, and I think we all need to be honest with ourselves in that we need big names to be present at this march. The general public will see this march on TV and say, "there's those Ron Paul wackjobs", and blow the entire thing off. It's sad, but it's the truth of the world we live in today. However, when people see that Willie Nelson played there, well that's going to make a few heads turn and get more people to pay attention.

Sounds good. I was also thinking about emailing Alex Jones, given that he just had Nelson on, and could possibly get in contact with him directly. Obviously Alex will be at this event, so I would assume he would be more than willing to help get Nelson there as well.

Well he should be a sure thing for this march then, lol. I sent Alex an email to see if he can possibly get in contact with him, so I'll let everyone know how that does. Also, it couldn't hurt to call into the show, if anyone's up for it. If not, i don't mind calling.

Well I sincerely hope you are right but I listened to the Alex Jones interview where Alex gave Willie ample opportunity to come out in support of Dr Paul and while Willie said some positive things he just couldn't bring himself to do it. He has to work in a left dominated entertainment business and he knows where the line is and what he'd have to say to cross it.

It would be pretty funny if Willie came (but he won't) because for him to show up, he'd have to be dumb enough to think it was going to get media coverage. He may be high most of the time, but he's not that stupid.

I said this on another thread. The american public has little love for any entertainer who goes too far afield or gets too enthusiastic about religion or politics. Only the bland comfortable center is acceptable. Willie might skirt the edges a bit about stuff that isn't that controversial but I really doubt he'd go all the way to endorsing Ron Paul. Yes the Chicks got attacked from the country music establishment and from fans from the right but I'm afraid so would Willie because of RP's positions on defense, foreign policy and national defense. I hope to hell I'm wrong but that is my gut feeling.

So, publicly saying that 9/11 is an inside job is somehow less radical than supporting Dr. Paul? When did Ron Paul become a career killer? John Mayer supports Ron Paul and he still has a career.

There is no need to be so paranoid on this topic. Maybe Willie doesn't want to support a candidate! I think it would be great for him to be on our side, but to automatically assume that he afraid of some backlash is ignorant and reactionary.

Listen not everyone here is a truther. We shouldint have truthers representing Paul, you give him a bad name.
