Will tonight's results help or hurt Hillary's chances in 2016?

Since Repubs control both house and senate now they can back a real conservative candidate if they choose. If they win and the majority does not like thier polices they do not have to support them completely. An example is Bush could have opened ANWR when Repubs controlled everything for oil exploration but guys like McCain blocked it. THere are enough RINOs to keep a real conservative president in check from changing the status quo.

It means Democrats will be crying non-stop about voter fraud, voter ID laws, super PACs and whatever conspiracy theories they conveniently forget whenever they win an election.

It means birthers and tea party will finally STFU until summer of 2015.

The Republicans will continually send relatively modest bills to Obama's desk over the next two years.

These will be bills with widespread support both within the GOP and amoung the electorate as a whole.

If he accepts them, the Republicans can claim these as accomplishments - and I think that's the most likely outcome.

If he rejects them, the Republicans can turn the "party of obstruction" narrative around.

Either way, the big win tonight helps them a lot for 2016.

can you say lame duck halftime?

Some demographics:

Let's be honest, not like the GOP is in any position to win the demographics race if you don't count White, Anglo-Saxon Protestants.

It all depends on what the GOP does to get things on the right track over the next year or so.

It's all about the economy.

If they can get it moving in the right direction, 2016 will be theirs.

If they hawk more war, don't walk Obamacare back, and do nothing about Keystone - Hitlery will win.

Well, there will be another Democrat in the White House, anyway, though I think Clinton is as overhyped and unelectable now as she was in 2008.

But if Republicans pass repeal after repeal after repeal--become neither a 'do-nothing Congress' nor a do-everything Congress, but what we really need, an undo-everything Congress, none of it will get past the White House un-vetoed and the Republicans will enter January 2017 in every federal elective office.

But then, of course, people will expect them to undo all that shit and make it stick--at which point we will be easily able to separate the conservatives from the RINOs. So, since some things do trump partisanship up in Washington, I sincerely doubt we'll see this plan implemented.

I like what Reagan said about the gov't 'undoing all that shit'. (starts at 36 sec)

Hillary will not win she be installed.

If you do not agree you are a conspiracy theorist, sexist, racist tea bagger that kills baby illegal immigrants for fun with guns.

Ahhh Jeb nepotism bush, the perfect piece of shit to awaken the false dichotomy right before they install Hillary.

He would be her only hope. He's the only monster who could possibly make her look good.

BUSH vs. CLINTON 2016

Are we really stupid enough to settle for this?

C'mon, everybody! Let's do the RINO/DINO/Lino-dance!

How does Hillary separate herself from the muck that is Barack Obama? A good share of his cabinet are Clintonites.

Oh, it will be an uphill climb for her - no doubt. She has Benghazi, support for Obamacare, and Lewinski to contend with, just to name a couple of things. But we're talking the Teflon Clintons here.

Teflon, indeed. She's a brilliant tactician, but she's not as adept at pulling it off as her husband is. She'll try to take credit for anything good that comes out of Obama's 8 years, while trying to deflect the bad. I bet she'll slide away from Obamacare, coast through on Lewinsky, take credit for an improving economy, but what's going to hurt her is foreign policy. She really had no achievements during her term and there were lots of failures. She will try to take credit for Bin Laden, but that's only going to take her so far. The world has gotten much more chaotic in the last decade.

They do not really see that as a negative, the bigger he fails the more she can come in with "he did this wrong, Im going to do it this way"

Obama has not changed, the plan is simple in a final stage.
