Will Ron Paul Republicans Vote for John McCain in the General Election?

I'd never EVER vote for a Republican. (Or a Democrat for that matter.)

My full support for Ron Paul has started with the Michael Badnarik endorsement, and it has always been contingent on the and the likelihood of him getting the Libertarian Party endorsement in the 2008 election - regardless of whether he ALSO has the GOP endorsement or not.

I admit that I would vote for Romney or Huckabee over the Dem candidate (Hillary), not that I would like it, but not McCain, absolutely no way. I would choose Hillary.

McCain promises more wars, open borders, incredible spending and assaults on free speech. McCain represents everything that is bad about the Republican party. And McCain, as others have said, will drag the party down with him as conservatives stay home in droves allowing the Dems to pick up even more House and Senate seat.

The only bright spot may be that the GOP can rebuild from the ashes into a party more receptive to true conservative principles like those of Ron Paul.

John McCain is the only one running who could actually inspire me to vote specifically to counter him. I've been a big, I'll "write-in" Ron Paul person so far, but the idea of McCain being in office is enough for me to consider a vote for Obama or Hillary.
