It looks like John McCain will win the Republican nomination (according to the polls). Will Ron Paul Republicans Vote for McCain in the General Election should he be the nominee? What will Ron Paul Republicans do?

Ron Paul Republicans vote on principle and not out of "party duty". There is no stretch of logic by which any informed advocate of the principles of conservatism and limited government could ever support McCain.

I hate the GOP for what they have done to us. The GOP turned its back on us and they have embraced the mega corporations along with the Demacraps. I will never vote for those scum bags ever again. I will also go out and exercise my second amendment rights and go buy a rifle hopefully that will send a message to big government.

Before I was a Ron Paul supporter, I had already made up my mind that I would never vote for John McCain. Much has changed, but that decision has not. John McCain will simply continue the Bush policies. He knows nothing about the economy. He is the Bob Dole of the Republican party. He would never defeat Hillary or Obama.

I will not vote for any candidate for any national office who is not committed to abolishing the Federal Reserve and the IRS. Those two items are non-negotiable. For me they pertain to defining American values.

That's why I will not vote for McCain or any other Republican or Democrat. I'm not going to make this a personal thing about McCain or anyone else or any political party. They don't support the plank, they don't get my vote. End of discussion.

If they support the plank, then we can talk, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

I will vote for Obama or Clinton before I vote for Mccain. I would rather suffer through 4 years of those candidates than 4 years of Mccain. My theory is the Republican party is heading in the wrong direction, its becoming a party of Liberal Republicans, and I consider myself fiscal Conservative and not a Liberal Republican. The Republican party will continue in its path towards liberalism if they win this election with Mccain or Romney, so in order for the Republican party to change they need to lose.

I won't at all. I'm going to be GOP long enough to vote in any Iowa Ron Paul Republicans, but after that, I want out....it sucks, though, because I want to run for Congress in a couple years or so but I have NO CLUE what to run under. I wouldn't fit in well with religious anti-abortion Republicans nor with welfare-worshipping Democrats who believe global warming bullshit.

I can, in part, be blamed for some of the problems we are currently facing...I voted for King Bush (Jr.) twice. I voted for Dole in '96 and I voted for Perot in protest after Bush Sr. broke his vow and raised taxes.

I will vote for Paul or write him in. I will NEVER again vote for a fake conservative that does not have a clear record to back it up regardless of their "born again" lip service conservative rhetoric. I am not sure if I can write in (Washington State) ....I assume I can but if I cannot and Paul is not the nominee I will vote for the Dimocratic nominee in protest.

There is no way that I could vote for McCain. It would be reprehensible to me and completely against my conscience. Of course, I know no candidate other than Ron Paul that I could in good conscience vote for.
