Gary Johnson Will Not Be In NH Debate

To address your edit:

What about the fact that a good portion of the world is still rather barbaric? Wife-beating, on average, is something like 90%+ in most Islamic countries. This is due to the fact the Quran permits it. Rape is a common practice in large parts of the world, even a part of some nations' culture. I really don't see how it's beneficial or healthy to rely on the free market for immigration.

The Qu'ran may permit rape and wife beating, but US law (and common law) would prohibit them as mala in se. The U.S. forbids things like purchasing raw milk and Cuban cigars, but I don't think that the law should be applied outside of a US Jurisdiction. If you commit rape in France, I think you should be charged by the French police. Wife beating in Pakistan is the problem of the Pakistanis alone and it is not our government's business to solve it. (As a side note, consumption of Cuban products is illegal for U.S. citizens, no matter where you are in the world.)

I think circumcision of infants (male/female) is barbaric. I think naked pyramids of Iraqi prisoners is barbaric. I think executing mentally retarded felons (which was legal a decade ago) is barbaric.

So, as strictly hypothetical, if Ron runs third party he might very well gain admission to the general election debate.

Actually, the 15% requirement was made after Ross Perot, to lock out future contenders. I'm sure they would come up with some other nonsense if anyone the establishment doesn't like ever closes in on the 15%. They will not stand for a repeat of Perot. They wouldn't even let him in when he ran again in 1996, thanks to an agreement between Dole, Clinton, and the Debate Commission.

But I think as long as we have a democracy/republic despite them being terrible forms of government, all candidate's voices should be heard.

Don't agree. There is nothing worse than these local races on local news shows where they let everyone in, including the guy polling 0% and not campaigning at all. It's a joke. If a candidate has no viability, hasn't polled above 1%, has raised no money and isn't even trying: why should they be allowed in? At some point "allowing all voices to be heard" just becomes a massive disservice to the people, when an unrealistic candidate sucks up what little debate time there is. There has to be some sort of minimum viability threshold to get in.

There are so many candidates that run for President. Candidates that only file to run as a write-in in Colorado or file with the FEC but appear on no ballots anywhere. Should we just allow them all in? Should I file, demand that is enough to be allowed in the debates and then spend all my debate time advertising a business?

I don't know any Gary supporters who don't support Ron Paul. Myself included. I have been for Ron Paul and I also support Johnson because he is pro-choice. Not one candidate will make everyone happy, but between Paul and Johnson, they come pretty close.

Sucked when it happened in 2007 and sucks that it's happening all over again (yes I know it's RP forums but Gary is a part of this movement so it's fine to morally equate what happens to the two of them). Gary polls higher than Santorum and besides, CNN hosted much larger debates the last time around.

Personal Appeal to Paul Supporters

I am the Johnson supporter who started the poll to get him included. I currently support Johnson based on social issues, but not any fundamental difference between the two candidates. In 2008, I supported Paul. When I lived in the Galveston, TX area, I even voted for him for Congress. If Johnson doesn't receive the nomination and Paul does he has my vote and campaign support. Ideally, I'd like to see them both on the ticket!

I am a Libertarian leaning Independent. I am a Texan born and raised! 3 Wars+Obamacare+the oil moratorium(which did cost me MY job at the time, I work as an on-site geologist)+the National Debt+the deficit=Voting Obama(Edit: vs. McCain) was the worst decision of my life(and I've made other bad ones)!!! (I believed he would get us out of the two wars, but started a third instead).

I am NOT asking for your vote! I know I won't get it. I refuse to engage in any smear tactics(even against Obama I state my reasons and his bad policy that's it).

That said, not including ANY qualified candidate should not happen by a news organization that is supposed to remain neutral(Fox was just as shameful in 2007). I urge you to please help me send the message to CNN and the other sponsors that all valid candidates voices must be heard!

Demand CNN and sponsors invite former Gov. Gary Johnson to the June 13th NH Primary Debate!

Thank you for your support, (In this single matter and in the cause of liberty!)
Charles Lupton

I will NOT stop. I will NOT surrender. ALL voices of liberty WILL be heard!

P.S. If you ever see any Johnson supporter trying to smear Paul, let me know and I WILL take action! My direct e-mail is: [email protected]

Like I said before, having Gary in the debates talking about pro-choice and open borders make Ron Paul look a LOT better!

Thanks, I signed the petition. If people want this to get any traction it should probably go out on facebook/twitter/email lists and all of that. I don't have accounts in the above, but I think at this point a lot of people that aren't even GJ supporters would agree that keeping a term term governor with a great record out of the second debate is pretty ridiculous. It only takes a minute to sign the petition and another minute to spread it around. The media tries to ignore candidates that they don't like and pick and choose winners... they tried to do it with Ron Paul and they are trying to do it again, they really need to be called out on it.

Well, he doesn't talk open borders because he doesn't support open borders, and it's a shame that he frames his abortion argument as pro-choice because his policy recommendation is the exact same as Paul's.

As we speak, American culture has already been almost completely eradicated; today, only pockets remain on reservations.

This may be true. However, according to the Mises/Libertarian open borders multicultural-types, the Native Americans are the happiest people on the planet since they are constantly surrounded by diversity & have a wealthy nation to reside in.

As it is, we need more people to pay into Social Security to keep it solvent.

Failed program, let it die.

Immigrants are generally hard-working, law-abiding individuals, and largely assimilate within a generation or two.

If this were true, that ethnic minorities will assimilate within two generations, then why are blacks, aboriginals, asian immigrants, & Hispanics such as the Tejanos still a distinct culture and people to this day?

I feel it is a grave mistake to describe America as a land of the free if we are unwilling to allow other people to come here and peacefully work and live.

Depends on your definition of 'freedom.' There's a point where one man's freedom will interfere directly with another man's right to life and safety. Such as a man watching child pornography, he wouldn't violate the NAP, however he would be creating a demand for more child pornographic films. Or an American farmer on the Mexican-American border, who allows a swine-flu infested family to cross into his property and travel on an American public road. He may have not violated the NAP, but he has allowed a deadly virus to cross into the nation.

Our current situation has the benefit of illegal immigrants are paid market wages (not minimum wage) for back-breaking work that Americans do not want. American residents (illegals included) benefit by purchasing domestically-produced goods at lower prices. Illegal immigrants are ineligible for a large amount of social transfer payments. The downsides are that we do not know who is entering the country, and these people do not pay taxes.

Economically they've always been a benefit. However, pertaining to the nation's survival as a whole, they've been nothing but a hindrance. Immigrants, specifically Hispanic immigrants, statistically commit a disproportionate amount of crime. As confirmed by the Department of Justice. This situation isn't unique to America alone, recently in Norway they discovered every single rape & murder in Oslo has been committed by an immigrant from the Middle East. Likewise, in Paris muslims infest the streets, sticking their ass up in the air, blocking traffic and praying every Friday. It's illegal to video tape or record them due to it being 'racially insensitive.' Tell me, what cultural, political, or spiritual/religious benefit have they brought to France? I'm sure if you asked the average Frenchman on the street (not the Socialist Krauhn nutjobs) whether an economic golden age is preferable to their nation becoming Berberized & Arabized, they would break into laughter. I would much rather take an economic hit than be subjected to my culture being systematically eliminated by Capitalists, driven by greed & blinded by economics, or Socialists, driven by multiculturalism. I would much rather imitate the policies of Japan or South Korea.
