Trump: "Ron Paul is a joke"

^^^Read too many self-help books? Too much New Age psychobabble?

Well, I do read one self-help book pretty consistently.

I'm not a big fan of new age psychobabble.

What do you read anonymous something or other with the whatever economicalexpialadocious avatar?

Is all them fancy books in your signature supposed to make me think you are credible?

Bullshit. Rockwell isn't "backing" Trump.

The claim that he is is utterly absurd - as anyone who is even slightly familiar with Rockwell ought to know.

Rockwell isn't "backing" anyone. His only use for Trump is as a foil to deride the political establishment in America.

He isn't. See above.

Loathe and despise Rockwell if you will - but the notion that he is "backing" Trump is just asinine.

Rockwell clearly regards Trump as a clown who is useful for making mock of all the other clowns, and he's exploiting Trump's popularity as a means of illustrating popular discontent with the status quo. There is nothing more to it than that.

Bullshit. The Mises Institute isn't "backing" Trump. (Gee, thanks AuH20 ... SMGDH )

The claim that it is is utterly absurd - as anyone who is even slightly familiar with LvMI ought to know

The only thing about Trump appearing in the last year under the imprimatur of the Mises Institute is the following - and it is entirely negative:

AuH20 just needs to shut the hell up with his ridiculous association of the Mises Institute with "backing Trump."

This kind of loose innuendo and "associationism" is exactly the same kind of bullshit we saw in the newsletter scandal ...

Lew backs Trump largely because of the chaos he can unleash. Go to his facebook for yourself.

So if Trump runs against Hillery our choices will be, to vote for a Democrat or vote for a Democrat.

Great what could go wrong with that?

*shrug* Nothing worse than having the choice to vote for a Democrat or vote for a Republican ...

Lew does not "back" Trump. Period. (And neither does the Mises Insittute, despite your grotesque implication that they do.)

There is nothing about Trump in his facebook feed that is any different in character or purpose than what he posts at LRC.

Rockwell is gleefully using Trump as a lance to pop the smug pretensions of the media and political establishments - and nothing more.

Using this as a basis to claim that he "backs" Trump is deeply stupid (or willfully and maliciously obtuse).

http://reason.com/archives/2008/01/16/who-wrote-ron-pauls-newsletter Libertarian movement veterans, and a Paul campaign staffer, say it was "paleolibertarian" strategist Lew Rockwell"
Individualist-feminist Wendy McElroy, who on her blog characterized the author as an associate of hers for many years, called the ghostwriter's identity "an open secret within the circles in which I run." Though she declined to name names either on her blog or when contacted by reason, she later approvingly cited a post naming Rockwell at the anonymous blog RightWatch.

http://reason.com/blog/2008/01/17/ron-pauls-chief-of-staff-on-le I just had a conversation with Tom Lizardo, Ron Paul's longtime congressional chief of staff, who wanted to say this on the record:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...-sources-say/2012/01/20/gIQAvblFVQ_story.html
“It was his newsletter, and it was under his name, so he always got to see the final product. . . . He would proof it,’’ said Renae Hathway, a former secretary in Paul’s company and a supporter of the Texas congressman’s.

John Robbins, who succeeded Rockwell as Paul's chief of staff, released an "Open Letter to Lew Rockwell" on the Internet last week. "This week, for the third time, the puerile, racist, and completely un-Pauline comments that all informed people say you have caused to appear in Ron's newsletters over the course of several years have become an issue in his campaign," Robbins wrote. "Your callous disregard for both Ron and his millions of supporters is unconscionable." Rockwell, however, in an interview conducted before "Angry White Man" was published, denied that he had any role in writing the newsletters.

Exactly.

Why....You might be on to something. ;)

It doesn't matter who is an agent and who is just lazy. People who are legitimate will come into the light. Talking about agents and obsessing about it all the years long just means you are one of the two.
