Two steps to escalation are coinciding with real escalation already transpiring between Israel and Lebanon.
The Iranian parliament has formally approved all Pezeshkian's cabinet ministers.
Blinken has left the region with no ceasefire.
These are two things Iran was waiting for. Another is already happening .......
If Iran is waiting for an Israeli invasion of Southern Lebanon, and that invasion does not come, will Iran not attack Israel?
Hezbollah has made many strikes today, as has Israel. Israel fired 115 projectiles into Lebanon today. They hit a number of arms depots.
Also, a Fatah official, Khalil al-Maqdah, was hit in his car in Sidon, dead.
Targeting Fatah is new. Fatah is the softer group of all the Palestinian resistances. This is sure to anger Russia especially because
Russia just entertained Abbas for a long time. Word has it many hours transpired between Putin and Abbas. Khalil was responsible
for the logistics of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in the West Bank.
A former Lebanese minister, Marwan Hamadeh, said Wednesday he has information from Western diplomats involved in the negotiations on a Gaza cease-fire that war is “inevitable” and “will happen within a few days or hours.”
For his part, Tawfik Tirawi, a member of Fatah’s Central Committee, told Agence France-Presse on Wednesday that Israel’s killing of Maqdah in southern Lebanon is proof that it seeks to “ignite a full-scale war in the region.”
