Yep. I was saying the same thing. Bad idea if you want to win in November...

The democrats know it too.

They will wait until after the convention. Then it will happen only if polls show some hope for Kamala.

As for myself, I hope she gets to be president. Joe Biden is a pure puppet. Would be interesting to see what Kamala would do with the Obama puppeteers in her back.

Also if she becomes POTUS then she is the de facto head of the Democrat Party, which means she is much more likely to get the nomination.

The Repulsivcans are more than happy to act as The Washington Generals and serve as controlled opposition.

as Matt Collins said, Repubs may want Kamala Harris, so if Joe Biden resigns in a few days, she is now President. so she gets the nomination.

Speaker Johnson IDIOTICALLY calls for Biden to RESIGN.

Yeah, let Harris run AS PRESIDENT.

What an IDIOT.

It's a calculation. The old school GOP doesn't think Kamala will be the nominee and the alternatives are even worse for them. They know, though, that if she's an incumbent president, it makes it VERY difficult for them to ditch her at the convention. They'll try everything they can to ensure she tops the ticket!

I agree. They want to run against the Biden legacy and Kamala is a part of that.

From a non-strategic standpoint, if we are going to keep the facade going that any of this means anything, then it obviously does make sense that he should resign. I mean the notion that the president of the United States is unfit to run a campaign but fit to run a country obviously is patently insane. Not as insane as believing that he has ever been running the country, but I digress...

Well, if this is how sophisticated they really are, I still think they are wrong and that it won't happen, either.

Why do I think they're wrong (if this really is their M.O.)?

Because if Harris IS President she really will get millions more votes and it's going to be a lot closer,
with a real chance to win, and lots of help from Democratic governors and SoS who run elections along with DHS cyber crews in most states run by this same gang.

I still think Trump will lose, but I don't think they are bold enough to shove Kamala down our throats.

They can get away with Clinton.

Regardless of the implications for the election, do you not agree that Biden should resign?

He is not fit to be POTUS.

And even as a political calculation, Johnson's call for him to resign may be more savvy than you are saying. Because Biden is not going to resign. And Kamala is not going to invoke the 25th Amendment. The failure of both of them to do those things is a valid complaint, and one that the Republican party would be wise to use against them.
