After yesterday, I think all bets are off. Unless the GOP really blows it this week at the convention, it doesn't matter who they put in. No other candidate, including Michelle Obama, will be plausible. And the intel agencies don't need the result to be legit - but they do need it to be plausible.

At this point, they might as well run Biden to give themselves a good excuse for losing.

And the intel agencies don't need the result to be legit - but they do need it to be plausible.

But it's not plausible, Biden least of all. So if they do another steal, we can all bet our bottom dollars that it's a deliberate provocation.

It's probably more likely now. Trump basically just won the election by surviving unless the Democrats replace Biden.

That's what I'm saying... If they can't maintain plausibility, they won't attempt another steal. They'll let him have it, probably ensure that he doesn't get majorities, then tank the economy on his watch. (Hmmm... like they did before???)

... then tank the economy on his watch.

Like that's still optional at this point. He guaranteed the currency will crash in the next four years during his first term, and that destructive policy hasn't changed. That aspect of the economy is beyond anyone's control now, I think.

That was going on LONG before Trump. You know that.

Of course. That said...

Biden is staying unless something drastic like a stroke happens.

Nobody dares speak about ousting Biden since Trump got shot at.

Devaluation of the dollar? That's true, it was. But look at this graph, and ask yourself if you can see anything notably different in Trump's tenure. Be honest.

Yeah, let's really be honest. Trump's first 3 years were actually pretty good (comparatively). Then, covid hit and he got into re-election mode and we all suffered. That last year of his presidency was a total, unmitigated disaster!

I don't disagree. But that disastrous 4th year didn't just put a dent in the first 3. It completely overwhelmed them and ought to define Trump's legacy.
