Why wont McCain just SAY IT..

Because he's stupid. And because Obama is right that McCain has been behaving erraticaly going from one accusation to the other. Had there been a couple more debates, McCain might have eventually called Obama a socialist.

And McCain really is stupid. Really. If he had opposed the bailout he would have forever separated himself from Bush and become the champion of middle America. His numbers would have surged past Obama's but he didn't do it because he is so stupid. If I forgot how apprehensive and disappointed I am in both of these men, I would have to concede that Obama has run the better campaign and (not counting third parties) deserves to win.

Well he's done it now.

"At least in Europe, the Socialist leaders who so admire my opponent are upfront about their objectives," McCain said in a radio address. "They use real numbers and honest language. And we should demand equal candor from Sen. Obama. Raising taxes on some in order to give checks to others is not a tax cut; it's just another government giveaway."
