McCain is talking around and around about the fact that Obama wants wealth redistribution but wont say the one magic word that is really what Obama is really talking about...... SOCIALISM.

Obama can talk anyone into a circle but when you look at his policies, it is plain and simple Marxism.

Why wont McCain just SAY IT!!! Call him on it. My God!

Why won't he say it? Because they're both full of shit. I don't understand why anyone on this forum would seriously waste their time by watching the debate. Everyone here knows what they're going to say.

"I find it rather silly... they're going on and on about something that they both agree with!" -not an exact Ron Paul debate quote

Because he himself advocates socialism. Hell he voted for the bailout package just like Obama.

Because McNazi wants to push the same thing under a different banner. FASCISM, and the widdling away of American soverinty.

Yes, he is getting SLAUGHTERED and it doesn't phase me a bit.

Even knowing we are getting a wealth redistributing socialist like Obama.

The way I have come to view the rise of socialism in a country is the point when the rich have become just rich enough, and fear the loss of that wealth to the middle class or the poor.

Even though it claims to have good intentions, it never really becomes redistribution of wealth, it turns towards encouraging increasing dependence on the state in order to survive.

Systems start to evolve to keep the wealthy rich; the same systems keep the poor and middle class working hard to survive or dependent on welfare from the state in exchange for their vote.

Slowly, the middle class erodes as they slip beneath the poverty line, til a massive gap exists that can never be bridged. The ladder of Liberty and prosperity loses a good number of rungs.

Socialism arises at a point where the rich do not want the poor improving their lot in life.

McCain has made a total fool of himself tonight. Obama has been the same silver-tongued devil he's always been. it is absolutely frightening that one of these fools is going to end up being our President.

Correct. The neo-cons have corporatised the American ideal, co-branding it with nationalistic, expansionist fervor. The "anti-American"/liberal/leftist calls from their camp are increasingly leveled at those who do not agree with their policies, eventually becoming "terrorists" on their own soil.

The increasing dominance of these two extremes has led to polarisation in the country, and a loss of an acceptable party founded on liberty.

While I find it fortunate that more than likely the neo-cons will walk out of the White House in January, it doesn't dispel their influence in politics, just drives it underground.

It is also fortunate that neither will have the funds available to push through their agendas; which could leave a liberty/prosperity based party that wants to STRONGLY campaign through the next four years in a good position to take back the White House.

The country is desperately in need of a patriotic revolution and a return to the ideals of the Constitution.

Conservatism is dead. These two men are arguing about which one can give Americans the most free stuff and free money.

McCain just had a freudian slip. He called Obama: "Senator Government"!!!! LOL

As Dr. Paul said in an earlier (Republican) debate, they are arguing about minutiae.:(

What did Obama mean by citizens voting on what rights we should have?

McCain said that abortion should be a state issue. Obama said that rights (the right to privacy, in this instance) should not be up for a referendum vote.

McCain said that teachers that serve in the military should NOT need testing for certification. Huh?

Obama kept his cool... McCain was clearly looking desperate... McCain has lost this debate, and the presidency... I don't think Savage's "trickle-up poverty" line could have saved him...
