Yeah, I agree, bans should require like a 2/3 majority of mods, and a plurality of members. I am tired of renegade loose cannon mods going around banning everyone.

or you could have the site owner over-rule frivilous bans.
on one hand, the owner wouldn't want to subvert the power he grants to others... but at the same time- there is no check on that power if the owner does nothing.

Damn. I was just wondering a day or two ago why I hadn't seen any recent posts by Rev9. I just figured he was working on a project or something.

A permaban? That sucks. That *really* sucks. He could be abrasively blunt sometimes. But he frequently put words and phrases together in surprising and delightful ways.

A tempban, I could see. But a permaban? Damn. Not that my opinion is likely to matter, but I agree: unban Rev9.

Patriot One, I just saw this. I didn't know you reported cajuncocoa. Did you? I do ignore you since you seem to go out of your way to provoke me, and I don't see why I should give you what you want, however, I also don't see every post you write.

Also, I haven't seen any 'Rand bashing' in quite some time, so I don't know why you keep saying that. If something happened today, I haven't been here much, today, just in and out.

No doubt. That's why it pisses me off to see all the negative soul sucking vampires around here being hosted by Sailingaway while she's bans people like Bastiat. He was a positive member of this board intellectually and mentally for what this board USE TO BE. Now it's become SA's alter ego and if people don't agree with her and her Rand bashing buddies she bans them. He did NOTHING wrong today. The banning was so absurd it is obvious it was a revenge banning.

Is there other mods who can review Bastiat's postings and unban him if they deem it undeserved? I can't remember another time I have objected to a banning but this one is so patently absurd to me I can only think it is about SA's personal vendetta as opposed to Bastiat's posts today.

As a general rule, mods don't mess with other mods' bans.
