This was a poll of party leaders only. Just wait till we get to CPAC and Ames where the typical voter gets to have a say in the matter.
I am very happy and think this shows there is support out there for DR Paul (even within the Republican party)
See you all at CPAC!!!!!

It was a good sign to come in second. Keep in mind though that in terms of the republican candidates theres Ron paul and then theres everyone else. of the 35 % that voted Romney i doubt any of those voters would have went to ron paul if romney were not on the ballot, they probably would have just been spread out to the other more conventional republicans. Advertising campaigns for RP being flyers passed out or tv ads need to focus on making him look more mainstream and by that i mean focusing on how he was ahead of the curve in 08 on the issues the tea party is talking about now.

Honestly, and I know some won't like this, but Ron needs to follow RAND'S playbook. At least in the republican primary, when he gets to the general then the gloves can come off, but for the average republican voter, Ron could tone down some of his anti neocon positions. I might get bashed for this but to those that do, good luck with winning the republican primary for president.
