Both of my boys went to Montessori, and the school got progressively more anti-male as time went on, including toward the few males teachers they had. One awesome teacher left because he was next in line to run a classroom he had been teaching in for years, and they hired a fresh out of school, inexperienced female teacher to be head teacher instead of promoting him.

The school created the anti-male environment, and the girls picked up on it PDQ, and got away with all sorts of nasty behavior; they'd act like mean little brats toward the boys, hit them, called them names, and then lie, cry, whine, pretending like they were the victims, and of course the teachers bought it, and punished the boys.

The boys were always being punished...usually just for being boys and doing boy things, like playing star wars during recess.

I have a feeling this bias is as old as the hills, not only as old as government-run education.

I've already been born. Why would I want to encourage women I don't even know to reproduce? What benefit does this provide to me? I mean, I don't mind if women get children. But I don't really care either. I'm totally indifferent in respect to their choices of lifestyle as they don't affect me at all.

You on the other hand seem to really care about women getting children. Why do you want to encourage them to procreate? What's in it for you? Personally, I don't care if humanity stops to exist a few generations after I'm dead. Because I'm dead by then...

I had pretty much the same experience at work before, where the women got away with everything and the men were the only ones expected to get results. This is nothing new, thats how it works here.

Not for nothing, but the fact that the most important job women have on Earth is making babies, it's a shame that we try to make women into men and men into apes.

All I know from my life working as an adult is that smart men are much harder working and better working than any female, period. Of course there are exceptions, but men are vastly superior. It's not even close.

If "civilization" (which is nothing but the sum of individuals) decides to get fewer - or no - children from now on, then people are obviously not interested in continuing civilization and it will stop to exist.

I'm not trying to force that development. I hate those overpopulation-nazis who believe that humanity is a form of cancer. I like humanity!

But there is really no point in artificially trying to keep up birth-rates if people voluntarily choose to have no kids anylonger. It's not as if any living person dies because of that, so nobody suffers because of it.

I don't care for society, humanity, civilization, mankind, etc. I care for the individuals who represent those umbrella terms and for what they want. And whatever that is, as long as they don't hurt anybody else, they are perfectly fine to go ahead, imho.

I dont think its womens abilities, its the fact they just are not held to as high of a standard. There have been countless times women didnt do their job at work but got away with it because they were a woman. If a man did that he would get a warning or fired.

Strictly speaking, they are. Males are the competitive gender; females are the selective gender.

Some males are really smart, some are really dumb. Of the dumbest people I've met, they were all males. Makes sense because males are largely expendable in the big picture of natural selection. Think of them as a craps shoot. The top 5% can pick up the reproductive slack of the bottom 95%.

All women are essential for societies to function, so it makes sense to have less variation amongst them. You can't just discard the weak competitors like you can with males and expect to survive.

I work for a repair shop (my own business) and a large corporation. I've worked as a teacher in the past, my brother has worked in Dunkin Donuts and works for the government now.

Women are simply too moody, lack the pragmatism, and not willing to work under extreme stress in work situations. Women WILL do amazing things for their families (parents, kids). Again, this is a generalization, but it is generally true.

It doesn't happen anymore, at least not in the West. It's more of an observation regarding human history, especially in our early years when polygamy was common. The past 100,000 years we've seen a trend toward monogamy. We can't, however, discard the millions of years of programming hard-wired into our psyche.

Girls are generally better behaved and more cooperative children, which is why I recommend parents have a boy, first. If your first child is a girl, you might allow yourself to become persuaded that your boy has a "behavioral problem." Boys challenge more and are more physically active because that's their job. Call it design or evolution, but stop fucking with it.
