Who's responsible for the RP 4 Prez 2012 freeway billboard in Las Vegas?

I forget but they recently ran a billboard contest, so I'm expecting a new one. If you search billboard you will probably find it.

You talkin about this place? It's on the way from Vegas to L.A., pretty close to Vegas tho. It sounds like you're talking about a big billboard in Vegas proper, but I thought I'd throw this one up anyway.

I stopped by there about 8 months ago and chatted with the owner. Cool guy. Back then it was a small convenience store, but he was planning on opening a little restaurant there.

Haha no guys not the I-15 billboard between LA and Vegas. That video takes me back though.

This billboard was on I-215 near Valley View Blvd. Southwest side of the valley. If I remember to take a photo the next time I'm passing I will ... not easy driving 75 with my eyes glued to the rear view tracking any trailing popo.

Edit: That looks like the one sailingaway.

How? on Blimps?

Billboards are a very cost effective method of getting the word out.
No, they are an ineffective way of getting the word out.

The only people we care about reaching (for electoral victory) are likely Republican primary voters (or caucus attendees). That's a small fraction of society, not everyone driving down the interstate.

Apparently we have different view points on this, there are lots of angry anti-war democrats who would vote in republican primaries if Obama runs unopposed. We have a better chance this time than last election.

This is true, but how else would a group spend their limited funds? Not everyone can do the most effective campaigning which is going door to door.

On Matt Collins point about billboards, one key to campaigning is not to enrage the opposition. If a thousand die hard Romney supporters see it, they might all be motivated to head to the polls, not check out RP's message.

On the other hand, more power to the grassroots!!!!!

Anyway my opinion ...

The money spent is effective. It's an off campaign period so I assume the billboard was acquired at a discount. If Romney runs he's going to win Nevada, it doesn't matter how much the campaign spends. If you deny this you don't understand the voter makeup of Nevada.

Time and money could be better spent elsewhere more effectively.

This post is pretty off-topic considering that there was no discussion in this thread about the cost efficiency of said billboard prior to your post. I understand that you're really adamant about your position on billboards/signs, but perhaps you could direct it a bit better.

Not necessarily.

The first best place most Ron Paul supporters can get the most bang for their buck (literal bucks, time, and energy) is wherever they live, and doing something they can personally get excited to do.
