I really think the Clintons are up to to something. Endorsing Harris so soon within minutes of Biden's resignation is not necessary.
They are pulling an op. It goes like this. They know Harris will poll so badly that she has no path at all. She will drop out, and her delegates
will go to Hillary. Hillary gains hundreds of instantaneous delegates and all good feelings for not running against a black woman.

I'm confused by the phrase "drop out." There's less than a month before the convention and the primaries are over, so it isn't like anyone other than the delegates will have any part in the process. Are you thinking there's going to be some sort of really intense campaign race?

The only 'poll' that matters is what happens on the convention floor on the day the delegates cast their votes.

I'm expecting lots of shenanigans at the DNC this year.

It's gonna make Sanders vs. Clinton, 2016 look like a pillow fight.

Prior to the assassination-attempt, my forecast was Michelle.

I'm switching my forecast to Kamala. She was installed as VP as a "throwaway identity" and, despite all the claims to the contrary, I think she's OK with that... I think she signed up to be more or less invisible, while padding her resume with the best political line-item you can have on your resume short of being actual POTUS. VP is actually a great job once it's over, because you remain "once removed from POTUS" for the rest of your life, but with 0.0001% of the political pressure and expectations. So, treading water until January is absolutely something Kamala can deliver. The Left went-for-broke with this assassination-attempt. The problem with a high-stakes move like that is that you can't miss. They missed. The entire Democrat 2024 campaign is absolutely DOA. Nothing will revive it.

Today it's being reported that the only reason Biden delayed his decision was because he didn't think Harris could win.

There is still plenty of time for Harris to flop. Her flopping will begin within days when polls are released.
Then, the savvy Democrat delegates will not vote for her. She will fail to secure the majority because she really can't win.

Literally no chance of this happening. Democrats would never pull a 180 and go back to Biden. Harris’s campaign could completely flop and they would just swap her out with someone else. If Democrats fear Biden will do this they’ll simply lock him in a basement for a few days while the convention is going on and give an excuse as to why he can’t show up or they’ll get one of his body doubles to go in his place.
