Who will Join Me in Publicly calling for an End to Violence

K
Perhaps I am just too dumb for living, but what does your call actually mean?

The police machine-gunning the rioters would certainly put an end to the violence. I am middling-confident that this is not what you mean, but I am not at all confident of what it is you do mean.

More importantly, IMO, is the call for the end of police criminality and other misconducts. I'd call that the first order of business. It benefits not just the KneeGrows, but the timid white suburbanites as well. When police are not roving the streets like packs of wolves, I daresay the world becomes a markedly better place for everyone.

I fully recognize that in typical form these rioters have taken a legitimate issue and perverted it with their looting and the targeting of innocents. But that does not reduce or otherwise invalidate the original point: cops murder "theirs" in cold blood, fabricate cases to put them into rape cages for decades, and so forth. I cannot claim to like the rioting, but I fully understand why many are doing it. Don't you think these folks are just about fed up with this bullshit of the ways in which they are treated?

I am about as far from PC as anyone on the planet, but that does not mean I cannot step into the shoes of another and see the world at least partly from their eyes. There are all manner of problems with the "black community". Criminality is part and parcel of ghetto culture. I grew up in it and I know exactly what goes on, so nobody can pull that wool over these eyes. But beyond that, lots of otherwise innocent black folk take it in the neck at the hands of these foaming-at-the-mouth cops and no reasonable man of any stripe can deem that as tolerable. So what, then, are those people supposed to do when decades of talking, pleading, and demanding go unanswered? You passivists out there who decry violence categorically, give us the answer: WHAT DO THEY DO to get the wolves off their necks? Is it right and just that Joey Negro spend 10 years in a cell for a crime he did not commit just because some worthless shit of a cop decided for whatever idiotic and criminal reason that he was going to teach the knygger who was mazzah?

Answer the fucking question. What do such people do, if not turn violent against an adversary who for lifetimes pays you no mind whatsoever and cares no whit of the injustices heaped upon your life? Lie down and be glad it was not worse? Seriously, I would like to hear it. I would like to witness a miracle in words. Call it a bucket-list item for me.

So I guess I should just put you down as a NO then...

More important, and most impossible.
No such thing will happen until the constabulary is abolished.
Considering people here - HERE - people who should at this point have known better years ago - are still supporting cops, despite over half a decade of daily proof posted on this site that this is their exact function - what real chance is there that those who have as of yet only been exposed to these stories for a few short weeks, will realize that this is the only solution?

Yes... stop the violence in Baltimore, its pretty played out and behind the times.

Across the country the cops are shooting people every 6 hours and dogs every 90 minutes.

Baltimore is old news, maybe move the riots to another city or something.

Riot tour.

Nice.

I find it typical and boring to note how little attention is paid to the reasons people are rioting. Note how police are rarely, if ever, called into question. They are, after all, our boys in blue... <GAG>.

Part of me says let the rioting spread from sea to shining sea, but without the looting and targeting of innocents. Let the angry communities hunt the criminal perpetrators in badged uniform and dispense a better justice. If even 1 murderer cop were publicly hanged by angry mobs, one way or another the issue would be pressed to the forefront of the nation's political attention. Something would then have to give. Yeah, it would probably be more draconian law and gun control and all that, but I say "good". Let Themme go full throttle if they refuse to back down more fitting of their low station as mere servants. Let the nation erupt in a cleansing because heaven knows it needs it the way Hillary Clinton needs an enema and reconstructive- or perhaps rather trans-species surgery on its face.

This death by a thousand cuts is intolerable anymore. I say let the issue be settled one way or the other.

Not necessarily, the term carried over even with inflation..but probably.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waterboarding#By_U.S._police_before_the_1940s

The use of "third degree interrogation" techniques to compel confession, ranging from "psychological duress such as prolonged confinement to extreme violence and torture", was widespread in early American policing. Lassiter classified the water cure as "orchestrated physical abuse",[SUP][110][/SUP] and described the police technique as a "modern day variation of the method of water torture that was popular during the Middle Ages". The technique employed by the police involved either holding the head in water until almost drowning, or laying on the back and forcing water into the mouth or nostrils. Such techniques were classified as "'covert' third degree torture" since they left no signs of physical abuse, and became popular after 1910 when the direct application of physical violence to force a confession became a media issue and some courts began to deny obviously compelled confessions. The publication of this information in 1931 as part of the Wickersham Commission's "Report on Lawlessness in Law Enforcement" led to a decline in the use of third degree police interrogation techniques in the 1930s and 1940s

You're laboring under a serious misunderstanding as to what the job of the police is.

None of this is new.

The only part of any of this which doesn't go back to the 1840s is the fact that paddy wagons didn't exist then.

This is what they do. It is what they have always done.

As I pointed out previously, amusement park rides haven't been a nickel since the 1930s.

http://www.westland.net/coneyisland/articles/independentrides.htm

Police have to have been using the term "nickel ride" since then.

I don't know what else can be said: in this case we have conclusive proof. By their own admission, this has always been the function of the police.

You cannot support police - at all - and not support nickel rides, devil chairs, waterboarding (goes back to the 19th century in police departments) - and yes, also melting faces off of babies and shooting 7 year old girls in the head.

If you support police, at all, you support these things, because they are, and always have been, inseparable.

"You must spread some reputation around..." Etc.

Or maybe not. Even good and dutiful parents cannot always counteract the influences "out there". Sometimes shit happens.

This, it wasn't my parents fault I was a insufferable little bastard as a youngster. Momma tried. People are what they are, I don't know why there is a constant compulsion here to blame the parents and then insist younger people be autonomous at a early age.

So I guess I should just put you down as a NO then...

Did you not pay heed to my opening lines? How can a yes or no be given when the parameters of the request are in no way understandable, as stated?

Clarify and complete your intentions to the reader so they can operate on good information, rather than having to fill in the holes for themselves.

"Don't commit illegal acts of assault and property damage because you are mad at society. As an officer of the law you should show respect and human dignity even when it isn't given to you by a suspect.

This is bad behavior and hurts others as well as ourselves."

I think it's something along those lines?

I think it's something along those lines?

Not for me. For me, it's "Turn in your badge and gun, burn your uniform, and find another means of employment."
Thus Osan's statements - I see this as the only way to achieve what you wrote as the goal and will not waste breath asking for less.
There are only a handful of people here who think likewise, meaning this: even if we all agree that peace is a goal, we are definitely not united in our call for peace.

Well, I was just trying to guess at Danke's sentiment. I'm just offering my support to him.

My call would be....

wait for it......

Repent or perish/continue to loot!

Me too donnay. I'd have done he same thing if I had a kid involved in a riot. He could've been killed. I was cheering her on too. Lol
And where are the rest of the parents? And where have they been for the last umpteen years?

I'm not a joiner.

I'm a joiner by trade but I'll not be signing up to protest violence against government employees.

According to the TOS I shant advocate for violence but it's my personal belief that there are some folks who can't be reached by peaceful means, like kops-n-prosecutors...
