Who will Join Me in Publicly calling for an End to Violence

Yes... stop the violence in Baltimore, its pretty played out and behind the times.

Across the country the cops are shooting people every 6 hours and dogs every 90 minutes.

Baltimore is old news, maybe move the riots to another city or something.

Riot tour.

Most of those rioters were kids and a lot of them were still in their school uniforms as well. Although they did say that the police tried to use some restraint because most of them were children, I was happy to see a Mom get her kid out of there knowing what could've happened to him.

Fact is that police in Baltimore are out of control now and there needs to be some serious--serious policy changes with regard to this cover-up to protect the killers of Mr. Gray.
Perhaps Baltimore could also benefit from a whole lot of much more widespread better parenting.

Well, now that gay marriage will be legal all those potential good gay family environments that we were lacking hopefully can help relieve some of the burden.

Unlikely, since gays don't seem to be too popular either in many of those "troubled" neighborhoods and areas.

Looks to me me like the rioters, looters and arsonists are way out of control too.

Perhaps past time for some LEO shoot on sight, attitude adjustment.

Yes, some of these kids were out of control, but ask yourself why too. I think a lot of these kids were used as pawns to support an uprising against the police by someone else with the agenda here. It's all because the police are out of control killing instead of arresting people like they're supposed to and using unnecessary force. I've seen it first hand what some of these cops do too. I support law enforcement as long as they support the law themselves instead of violently beating people to death in their custody. Crushing someone's larynx and breaking their spine in multiple places causing death is murder in any other case where someone other than law enforcement did this.

What needs to happen is to weed out the bad ones by the police themselves ceasing to protect their buddies in law enforcement, otherwise--they have a license to kill you for being drunk, running a red light or jay walking if you say something to them they don't like. As it stands now and currently--this is exactly the way Baltimore has their system set up. They can murder anyone they like and get away with it under the silence and protection of that police dept itself.

From what I saw, I cheered her on! Probably a single mom trying to the best she can.

Me too donnay. I'd have done he same thing if I had a kid involved in a riot. He could've been killed. I was cheering her on too. Lol

as to cops...it all starts with the hiring process. Good place to focus on.

Yes I agree--that too. And I can even understand them wanting to protect each other in a case where they were being attacked or something rational and understandable, but protecting the officers that tortured and murdered Mr. Gray in their custody is just horrific injustice and something needs to be done about it. If the other officers want to protect the killers--then they should go right down with the ones who did it too. They want the pack mentality--let em all go down.

You're laboring under a serious misunderstanding as to what the job of the police is.

None of this is new.

The only part of any of this which doesn't go back to the 1840s is the fact that paddy wagons didn't exist then.

This is what they do. It is what they have always done.

As I pointed out previously, amusement park rides haven't been a nickel since the 1930s.

http://www.westland.net/coneyisland/articles/independentrides.htm

Police have to have been using the term "nickel ride" since then.

I don't know what else can be said: in this case we have conclusive proof. By their own admission, this has always been the function of the police.

You cannot support police - at all - and not support nickel rides, devil chairs, waterboarding (goes back to the 19th century in police departments) - and yes, also melting faces off of babies and shooting 7 year old girls in the head.

If you support police, at all, you support these things, because they are, and always have been, inseparable.

Perhaps I am just too dumb for living, but what does your call actually mean?

The police machine-gunning the rioters would certainly put an end to the violence. I am middling-confident that this is not what you mean, but I am not at all confident of what it is you do mean.

More importantly, IMO, is the call for the end of police criminality and other misconducts. I'd call that the first order of business. It benefits not just the KneeGrows, but the timid white suburbanites as well. When police are not roving the streets like packs of wolves, I daresay the world becomes a markedly better place for everyone.

I fully recognize that in typical form these rioters have taken a legitimate issue and perverted it with their looting and the targeting of innocents. But that does not reduce or otherwise invalidate the original point: cops murder "theirs" in cold blood, fabricate cases to put them into rape cages for decades, and so forth. I cannot claim to like the rioting, but I fully understand why many are doing it. Don't you think these folks are just about fed up with this bullshit of the ways in which they are treated?

I am about as far from PC as anyone on the planet, but that does not mean I cannot step into the shoes of another and see the world at least partly from their eyes. There are all manner of problems with the "black community". Criminality is part and parcel of ghetto culture. I grew up in it and I know exactly what goes on, so nobody can pull that wool over these eyes. But beyond that, lots of otherwise innocent black folk take it in the neck at the hands of these foaming-at-the-mouth cops and no reasonable man of any stripe can deem that as tolerable. So what, then, are those people supposed to do when decades of talking, pleading, and demanding go unanswered? You passivists out there who decry violence categorically, give us the answer: WHAT DO THEY DO to get the wolves off their necks? Is it right and just that Joey Negro spend 10 years in a cell for a crime he did not commit just because some worthless shit of a cop decided for whatever idiotic and criminal reason that he was going to teach the knygger who was mazzah?

Answer the fucking question. What do such people do, if not turn violent against an adversary who for lifetimes pays you no mind whatsoever and cares no whit of the injustices heaped upon your life? Lie down and be glad it was not worse? Seriously, I would like to hear it. I would like to witness a miracle in words. Call it a bucket-list item for me.
