WHO talking Paul again 6/22 10:13

it should be posted here soon: http://www.mickelson.libsyn.com/

Ah! This is great. The very first thing on that page:

NOTE: Lots of Congressman Ron Paul's supporters were busy yesterday. As you can see from my Podcast stats below, more than 10,000 of his supporters downloaded Wednesday's show! The server was so inundated with requests that it took me two hours just to publish the file.

Wowee! What a fun podcast to listen to. Lately I feel bi-polar, there are so many up's AND down's daily being a Ron Paul supporter!

I sent an email to Jan Mickelson requesting he have Ron Paul on his show and I got his reply below and My original email...

Hello Jan:
I just want to say thanks for letting the #1 guy for tax
relief get in his 2 cents worth. I want to suggest something to you and
see what you think.

If they do not let Ron Paul speak at Iowans for Tax Relief on the 30th
invite him on your show to talk about taxes on the 30th. Give him a
voice, he has earned a voice with his record. If you announced this and
invited him you would get many thousands of new listeners and this event
would be posted and relayed across the Internet. This could only be a
win win situation for you and Ron Paul. Have a question and answer call
in and you would get online buzz you would not believe.

Thanks for your consideration!
Russell Townsend
Just a Ron Paul supporter and not connected with the campaign!

Awesome! Great work, Russell.

Just don't send him a million emails and piss him off - he has the idea and he will like it or not like it. My guess is it will be a big boost for him and he will take the bait and run with it!

Check out the last week for ronpaul2008.com! Could this be all from the Iowa thing? Also check out hillaryclinton.com, what is going on there?

http://www.alexa.com/

Hillary's site spiked because of all of the hullabaloo about Hillary and Bill doing that stupid Soprano's skit.

Goes to show you - politics is turning into freakin' American Idol!!

Like my mom always said, tuck in your shirt and comb your hair - you don't realize how much 'looks' makes a difference. I hated that as a kid, but mom was right in many ways...

Thanks!

Here's what will happen now:

The other candidates have entire teams of people on the ground in Iowa who all listen to this show for 'intelligence'. ALL 'political' people in Iowa listen to Jan Mickelson's show and I'm certain people outside of Iowa working on their campaign listen online. They are BESIDE THEMSELVES that Ron Paul is getting all this attention and now understand that Failor is helping Dr. Paul more than he's hurting him. There will be pressure at the highest levels to pop this Ron Paul balloon. At the same time, my comments as an ITR member that this exclusion is beginning to hurt ITR will get the attention of the big $ interests that support ITR.

Ed Failor will be forced to let Dr. Paul into the forum and the invitation will be extended.

To be honest - at this point I hope I'm wrong. All this hubbub is worth a lot more to us now than being in the forum.

I think it would be hilarious if Failor did finally give in and extend an invite, and then Dr. Paul said "Nah, that's cool, I never really wanted to come thanks anyway."

Oh man I crack myself up.

Just listened to it. Everybody listen to the last call – there was one omission that we should all take note of and be sure to remember in the future if we are given a soapbox: When talking about all of the local supporters (e.g. when Dave mentioned the hundreds of Iowans that have signed up for MeetUp), be sure to mention the website ronpaul.meetup.com and encourage listeners to sign up.

Dave, excellent call by any standard! This is just a good opportunity to get new supporters more active.
