I voted Johnson in 2012, but without enthusiasm.
This time around, I probably should have voted for Johnson, but in the end I didn't vote.
I would have voted for Darrell Castle, but NC was one of the few States where one couldn't even write him in.
As for Johnson, yeah, he was a pretty good candidate. He was much, much better than Trump or Clinton. But he kept on saying things that I had a real problem with.
The problem for me was that he defined libertarian as meaning Fiscally Conservative, Socially Liberal. And when one listened to him, it was clear that "Socially Liberal" was a big thing. He was not going to say anything that would upset Social Liberals and progressives.
Hence "Bake the Cake", and "Freedom of Religion is a black hole" (he is technically correct about that - but he is right for the wrong reasons). And he just had to say nice things about Hilary Clinton, and wanted to make sure the whole world knew that he was pro-choice and pro-same sex marriage.
