I voted Johnson in 2012, but without enthusiasm.

This time around, I probably should have voted for Johnson, but in the end I didn't vote.

I would have voted for Darrell Castle, but NC was one of the few States where one couldn't even write him in.

As for Johnson, yeah, he was a pretty good candidate. He was much, much better than Trump or Clinton. But he kept on saying things that I had a real problem with.

The problem for me was that he defined libertarian as meaning Fiscally Conservative, Socially Liberal. And when one listened to him, it was clear that "Socially Liberal" was a big thing. He was not going to say anything that would upset Social Liberals and progressives.

Hence "Bake the Cake", and "Freedom of Religion is a black hole" (he is technically correct about that - but he is right for the wrong reasons). And he just had to say nice things about Hilary Clinton, and wanted to make sure the whole world knew that he was pro-choice and pro-same sex marriage.

I think the thing that this video really sums Gary up, and is why I just couldn't get myself to vote for him this time:

My grandfather used to say the same thing- but "liberal" meant something different in his day, as well as "conservative".

Too bad such great terms have been co-opted.

Indeed. I like to describe myself as socially conservative and economically liberal. (I think that would also describe Ron Paul.) But these days very few people would know what I meant by economically liberal.

LOL

Grammer nazi like me? ;)

Went with Gary to help him get to 5 but would've helped Trump if I was in a swing state.
