I want to see a CEO as president, but I don't want Romney. If Romney wants to run this country like he ran Bain, I'd support him. If he was willing to run this country like a business, how could you not support that.
Let me preface this by saying that I work for the fed gov and have for almost 30 years. Being good at business does not translate into being good at government. Government is not a business and doesn't run like one. It's as system of gross inefficiency that stifles initiative and innovation. Business complains about over regulation. It's 10-100 times worse on the inside. Simple acquisitions $3-$100k are a major pain in the ass. Construction is even worse. The biggest problem? so much focus on the accountability of tax payer dollars and compliance with too many laws that it costs 3-10 times as much in manpower and funding to accomplish the same things businesses do at 1/3 of the cost. Paul is absolutely right - get government out of the things it doesn't need to be involved in.
Romney touts that he knows how to create jobs. He has no more idea than Obama does. Government doesn't create jobs and this is why in his term a governor, his state ranked 47th in the nation in job creation. His success in business did not translate into success in government. He only wants power, prestige and more money. He doesn't give a rat's ass about you, me or any of us common folk. He'll say anything and take any position to get elected. He has no core. No spine. No backbone. He is not genuine. I don't hate him. He just sucks.
