I just came back from visiting my old neo-con site. And they are hailing this guy as a hero, unlike Bradley Manning.

Well, that should be enough to cast a plethora of suspicion on the opinions of that site. I don't spend even a second of an average day on Mr. Manning yet I respect him.

Do you have any insight into why Bradley Manning was a 'contract violating, troop risk increasing, irresponsible asshole' and Edward Snowden is considered a hero?

Perhaps it is because they are actually affected and the brown people in Iraq abetted terrrists?

A lot of it (probably most of it) has to do with the fact that he exposed the military and Edward Snowden exposed the government spying on pretty much everybody in the country. As long as it was brown people overseas being slaughtered they were ok with it.

Snowden better get his butt over to mainland China and ASAP, he should grab the next train out.

Hong Kong has an extradition treaty with the US and there is already a growing chorus of calls to extradite him. He is much more vulnerable in Hong Kong than in mainland China.

1. I wonder what his RPF handle is?

2. What happens to this guy will dictate how much more of this activity there is. Its up to us to stand behind this guy. If given the opportunity, we need to support him and his family in any way possible. There will need to be more Edward Snowdens, if policy is going to change.

I really don't think that's it. They were all over the wikileaks from the very start in the "conservative" camp, looking to hang someone. But this story hit home with them and they consider Snowden a hero.

so assuming he comes back stateside with media attention, are we going to be able to keep track of his whereabouts, and are we going to physically be there to support him and make sure his voice is not alone?I for one am committing right now to keeping track of his story and his whereabouts. Assuming he gets ganked by the US govt, I will personally do everything possible to make sure he gets a fair trial by his peers with proper representation. This is a call to action. We need to muster and rally behind this man.
