I can guarantee you that from now on, being a RP supporter will exclude you from working for Uncle Sam. As we speak, the NSA, DHS, CIA, FBI, IRS and DoD are looking at who donated to whom within their ranks.

This Snowden story is starting to smell to me for some reason. Almost like a trial balloon to see just how much can be released without the people reacting in any tangible way.

Sure, we spy on you, we spend your money to arm terrorists, we target you with our gun toting tax collectors for your political beliefs, etc. All we get is some internet complaining and news stories? Good sheep. You're ready for the next step. Don't forget about The Voice season finale!

What Snowden is claiming regarding his "authority" to tap into whatever he wanted at any moment isn't anything new. Analysts have always had this ability, even before the internet and cell phones were mainstream. Phone tapping operations by Feds have operated the same way for a long time. Any analyst could punch in any phone number into his computer and instantly intercept all communications for that landline, no warrants or oversight required. Whether any of it was admissible as evidence in a trial is a different story but the capability has always been there. It's no surprise that the same mechanisms have evolved as technology has evolved.

Snowden could be a CIA agent, releasing this information in an attempt to slowly silence the public. This news will have a big chill effect on the American people and internet perhaps. People are friendlier to big brother when they know big brother is watching. And that could very well be all they want to do.

HOWEVER.... ....Snowden has already released some information about "Boundless Informant" which talks of The US surveillance state across the world.

And I just can't see the US government "leaking" this like they do so much other crap.

Expect the Ambassador of Jordan to be furious.

However, again, CIA Snowden can be just flexing CPU power to the world, trying to scare them.

Can you post links to what slides were released and the documents leaked?

I still haven't seen them personally.

The biggest problem for me with our hero is the strategic $250 donations to Ron. Just enough to show up in FEC records and be revealed when his celebrity breaks....

reaks somewhat. or it could be a FU to the establishment.

This guy is a CIA agent with no Facebook account. He's not about to put his name on FEC records so easily.

There is still more to come out...

Makes me laugh @ people htting Rand for 'reserving judgement'. A lot of us here are too. Although the hero narrative is great and should be milked.

what bothers me the most is the $20M price tag. If they all made what this guy did, or maybe averaged a bit less, say $100,000 a year for guesstimate's sake, that would mean there are only 200 NSA snoops. How much you want to bet his contractor put out that little number to inflate the number of agents in the program? 200,000 a year means 100 NSA snoops, but 100,000 a year means 200 NSA snoops a year. Big difference.

Anyone who can get segments of the MSM speaking candidly about government is a hero in my book.

The US government hasn't represented me or anyone I know and respect for decades.

Wayne Madsen on Alex Jones (Former NSA spy himself) said Ed worked for a division called F6 (special collection service) 'they go abroad and bug places. Black bag operators.'
