While GOP pushes fights, split parties and riots, Trump calls for better showbiz, staging

Obviously Trump is one of the biggest cry babies ever to bear the title. Is it even disputable?

I would say it's not. I mean, if he only has a plurality of delegates, then by definition, the majority of delegates are selecting someone other than Trump.

Does Trump really think the GOP should ignore the majority of their own party?! Talk about a disaster.

Where did CPUd say anything like that?

If there's a liberty movement, then it should stand for liberty, shouldn't it? Supporting Trump is the exact opposite of that. If you support Trump, you're no better than someone who supports the Republican establishment.

The liberty movement should support whatever will lead to the most liberty the fastest.

Attila the Trump ruining the GOP is currently the thing that will lead to the most liberty the fastest.

You have to understand that I am talking about letting Trump do his thing, so that libertarians can turn around and oppose him from a position that would be much more tactically advantageous than what we have now.

You have no reason to believe any of this.

Trump left open the possibility that he would seek to install his own allies at the RNC should he accrue the 1,237 delegates required to win the nomination by the time primary voting ends in June. Asked in the interview whether he would retain RNC Chairman Reince Priebus in that scenario, Trump replied: “I don’t know. I haven’t made the determination.”
...
“There’s an unprecedented level of excitement for our party and our convention,” said the RNC’s chief strategist, Sean Spicer. “We’re going to have an opportunity to present our candidates and our principles not just to the country but to the world, and I think it’s going to propel us to victory in November.”
...
In the interview, Trump said with irritation, “It should be a monumentally magnificent convention and it should be brilliantly staged, but they’re spending $50 million on security.”

Easy.

Trump destroys GOP > Magic > Liberty Happens

How can you possibly disagree with that logic?!

Stop having Stockholm Syndrome.

What you need to understand is that the GOP establishment is the actual thing that is blocking liberty.

After Attila the Trump ruins that, it will necessarily become a lot easier for libertarians to do what they need to do.

Seems like Trump stimulates a weird flavor of Cultural Marxism. Not Classical Marxism or Communism. It's unique. And a very dangerous form of Marxism. Marxism, of course, has many varieties. Marx himself said that. And Cultural Marxists are the establishment, to be clear. So often we hear or read that it is the Republicans who are the establishment or the Democrats who are the establishment or the rich are the establishment. That isn't necessarily true. Cultural Marxists are the establishment. Cultural Marxism is liberty's opposition.

It's topic worthy, really. Don't know if it's worth the drama, though.

Here is an old piece from the Way Back Machine that kind of touches on "Folk Marxism." The author (of his own capacity) stimulates a contrast between the results of following Locke and those of following Marx.

Nah, it's just populism. Don't pay any attention to any policy - his followers do not.

Perhaps. erowe's thought there in terms of the liberty movement and what it should stand for just got me thinking of Cultural Marxism. I mean, that's what you're up against, really. Of course, I do know that there are those among us who are not Marxist in the classical sense. Trump movement just smells of Cultural Marxism to me, though.

Anyway. Populism is a way to look at it. But are they that much removed from each other? Seems like both share demagoguery as a manipulative approach to things.

Why would Trump ruin the GOP establishment's blocking of liberty when his differences with them all revolve around his belief that they don't block liberty enough?

How pathetic it is that the GOP establishment has become the thing that you feel protects you against Attila the Trump coming and taking your liberty way...
