If Trump runs in 2024, I'll vote for him.

Trump is still the lesser-of-two-evils, and nobody here can refute it, until and unless he does something worse than the Democrats have/are/will do.

He's absolutely less bad than Biden, but he's still solidly on the bad side. Can't we get somebody who's even slightly good? What about DeSantis? Is there a chance he might veto a spending bill?

Just out of curiosity do you think we'd be having this inflation under Trump?

We would have some inflation, but it would be far less. This infation is connected to Ukraine/Russia crisis and Democratic spending proposals, along with Yellen and Powell dragging their feet too long on raising rates. Trump and his people understand finance a thousand times better than Biden's team. Trump also would be far more likely to have prevented or ended the Ukraine crisis by now.

I can absolutely and categorically refuse the idea that we are limited--at this point, long before any primaries, in particular--to two choices, both evil.

We would have some inflation, but it would be far less.

Why would it be? Trump was having just as much printed as Biden is, for the benefit of Big Pharma. How would Trump printing up the same amount of currency magically make it worth more? The R next to his name?

Ronald Reagan gets trashed here and he vetoed 8 spending bills to Trump's half of one (he vetoed the NDAA).

I voted for Trump in 2020, not in 2016. I will root for him to lose all 50 states if he is nominated. Time for the fever to break. These candidates keep getting dumber and dumber and dumber because of Trump. Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Herschel Walker, etc are illiterate dunces. They should not be anywhere near Congress. I saw a Youtube ad for the Congressional district I live in denouncing a primary opponent for being a "RINO" because he wouldn't say "Trump had the election illegally stolen".

I just want to get back to real candidates with functioning brains. I honestly have no idea what today's Republican candidates believe in. With Dick Armey, Kasich, Newt, Mark Sanford the Republicans had core values and ran intellectual campaigns. There was an actual platform. The Republican candidates now are like President Camacho in Idiocracy shooting stuff in commercials.

Would you vote for Newt?

I don't vote on any of the issues listed.

I like Ken Griffin. Huge positive for me.

Yeah, I hear that all of the time:

“TSA doesn’t affect me, I vote because he’s a Christian.”

“I’m against the Police State and the MIC, but we need to Stop, ID and Question Everybody so that we know them from us. The Bill of Rights only pertains to Americans, not other people.”

“The central banking and oil cartels don’t affect my vote, I work in that industry and need my job.”

“I don’t care that he outspent every president in history combined, he’s better than Obummer/Biden.”

“I don’t care that he opened govt clinics across the state using Federal dollars, he didn’t mandate the jab.”

You people don’t stand on any principle and get exactly what you deserve. Thus, the certain decline of America.

Thanks for playing. Next!

You forgot, "Yes, he's the best of the lot, and would certainly win the general election. But I'm going to vote for someone CNN tells me has a realistic shot at the nomination."

Playing the same old games while the nation goes down in flames. Foot, meet bullet.

If Biden doesn't seek reelection, then Trump won't seek reelection either. Trump's not going to waste his time going up against some random senator or governor that will just serve as the fall guy. Besides, there's no new opponent Trump could have that narratively makes sense.

Before you write off MTG:

(yes I know it's two hours long, but it is worth it, a few cringey moments but MTG is far better than [insert generic republican politician] and how many of them do you think would look to Thomas Massie for guidance?)

@25:45
Massie: "well I was the guy that everybody hated. I was the most-hated person in Washington, D.C. Now I'm just the most-hated man now that Marjorie is there . . ."

Also the crazy ones are the only ones who fight. Sorry but that's just how it is. You can have illiterate fighters or literate collaborators. That's basically our choices at this point.

We need fighters.

Hopefully you aren't one of those people who only vote for "electable" candidates. We've had about all of those this country can stand.

I pretty much separate people into two groups these days. Reasonable and unreasonable.

A reasonable person sees this clown world for what it is, and isn't gonna demonize anyone who tries to separate/secede from it.

MTG is a reasonable person.

And every reasonable person is an ally.

Cackling like she's drunk at a bachelorette party at the State of the Union is pretty bad. There is a certain way to behave as an adult. She does not pass the test. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...en-boebert-marjorie-taylor-greene/9337266002/

Believing there is an anonymous insider named Q who is exposing secret pedophile rings is permanently disqualifying. https://thehill.com/homenews/state-...-promoted-pizzagate-said-charlottesville-was/

I would vote for every single generic Republican over her. Ideally I would like to see more generic Republicans. Fewer AOCs and MTGs. More serious people who nobody knows about because they are not trying to be online influencers.

Yes, because of Congress.
But we would have much less.

Riiiight.

Ron Paul, Massie, would have explained to the people during fire-side chats, after Vetoing each and every one of the bills, holding republicans fully accountable. NOT dole out billions/trillions on the tax payers backs.

Choose one:

1. You can’t stand the following thread.

2. You are proud of the “accomplishments”.

3. Both of the above, as long as the American people don’t see/notice The Record.

If Trump didn't upgrade our military, Ukraine wouldn't be able to defeat Russia!

This is no way to act at a tea party either:

If someone could just get them to shut up and have a seat in the back somewhere. . .

I personally would love it if MTG was my rep here in GA. I'm stuck with one of those 'serious people that nobody knows because he's not trying to be an online influencer.' (Sanford Bishop, been there not-influencing-anything since 1992 IIRC).

He didn't veto that bill because it was too expensive. If anything it wasn't expensive enough for him.

https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/CDOC-116hdoc174/pdf/CDOC-116hdoc174.pdf

That was the only bill that he vetoed that was overridden. And that bill was for 2021.

That means that Trump approved ALL of the spending from 2016-2020. And that resulted in the doubling of the debt.
