I know that the Tea Party Express is a hijacked version of the Tea Party by the neo-cons. Still there are many other Tea Parties around, major and local. Can anyone list those that would most likely support Ron Paul?

I also want to find ways and suggestions on how we can win Tea Party support. I got my own ideas but still any suggestions?:)

Hard to say since we are so independent. There are still people in my Tea Party who hate Ron with a passion (but love Rand). It makes no sense sometimes...

Overall, the Tea Party Patriots seem like a decent group. When they have had conference calls, there have been more than a few RP supporters on the call. Thing is, this group doesn't endorse candidates. I am not saying they are great, just that from what I've seen they haven't been taken over at the top. At least, yet.

Note: They do have pretty darn good written principles.

I am a tea paty leader and a member of tea part patriots. My father in law is a state coordinator for them. At their first Summit, Ron Paul won the Tea Party Patriots straw poll, so a lot of support in this group for ron!

Oh I know and especially how Ron Paul supports nearly everything that Republican voters like and yet they blindly support the wars like if it's automatically built into their clockworks.

You're a Tea Party leader and you call yourself "StrictBaptist"...That's too GOD DAMNED scary. Too many religious zealots in the "Tea Party" for my blood...No thank you.

I'm on Tea-Party Nation right now and it is INFESTED with neo-cons. Still they're not dumb most of the them don't like Trump or Mittens. There are a couple of Ron Paul supporters there including myself. The most popular anti-Ron Paul talking point over there is the Sharia Law issue and the Ground Zero Mosque. As usual Ron Paul is being avoided and they labeled him as a Ralph Nader. The majority of people are falling for a combination of Bachman, Cain, Allen West, and this minor guy, Albert Dummett.

We need more people there to go visit and calmly rationally have some 'discussions' on their forum. Be nice everyone or we won't get anywhere but we can win some people over there.

OMG! This is exactly what I've been going through! It's that whole Sharia Law thing. Some of them sound like they're repeating sound bites from Faux News. I have constant battles with people over this on their forums all the time. At least they are more receptive to Ron Paul than maybe in the past but it's the whole damn FEAR issue. They constantly show me pictures from women who have been abused because of Sharia Law. It just makes me insane! I remain polite, but I swear it's enough to want to pull your hair out! Be ready to have these types of questions thrown in to discredit Ron Paul. Hannity already started it with his first interview a few weeks ago. It's just the beginning...

Of course you realize that it is an insult to Christians, when you take the name of the Lord in vain. But, you knew that, right?

Baptists are "zealots"? Interesting. You also are probably pretty darned upset that the vast majority of our Founding Fathers were Christians, as are Ron and Rand Paul. It also may interest you to know that a great deal of the Republican party are Christians too and it is that party whose nomination we are seeking. :)

Now, where is that thread where people were wondering why Huckabee supporters were not flocking to Ron Paul? I wonder why that could be. (yes, this last sentence is sarcasm)

i would think the dallas tea party leaders would be behind ron paul. The leader of the dallas tea party was talking about defense cuts!! Northern Colorado Tea Party is mainly ron paul supporters!!

Oh I know and what's getting quite frustrating though I'm being nice and polite is that you present these people with all the CONSERVATIVE stances that Ron Paul is for, they still ignore him and continue on their talking points: this argument kind of sums the situation up.

Me: Okay what do you want?

Them: We want: a candy bar

Me: Okay here's a candy bar

Them: No we want a chocolate candy bar

Me: Sure this is a chocolate bar.

Them: No! We want a candy bar with chocolate and peanuts!

Me: Okay this candy bar is chocolate with peanuts.

Them: NO! We want a candy bar with chocolate peanuts and strawberry filling.

Me: Okay well this has chocolate peanuts and strawberry filling.

Them: NO! We WANT a candy bar with chocolate peanuts strawberry filling and chopped onions.

Me now puzzled and confused: Wait.........you want a candy bar with chocolate peanuts strawberry filling and.........onions? But why? It's not truly ingredients for a candy bar.

Them: WE WANT a candy bar with onions.

Me: But but onions don't come with a candy bar and they're not good for one.

Them: We want a candy bar with chocolate, strawberry filling, peanuts, chopped onions and toothpaste!

Me: WAIT WHAT?! That's not even going to taste good. I offer you a candy bar with all the sweets you desire and you say it won't be sweet without onions and toothpaste?

Them: YES that's WHAT we want and that's WHAT we support!

Me: facepalms.

(you see what I mean?)

Funny that they call Ron Paul "Ralph Nader". Pretty much all the ones you named that they like are "lower tier" than Ron Paul by any objective measure. Certainly the latter three are.

My own concern with the various Tea Party folks (and I don't want to sterotype here) is that virtually all of them say they want less government and Constitutional government, but every time there's a poll on reducing SS, Medicare, or Medicade it's overwhelmingly NO. It's like they believe with a $14T debt and $50T worth of future obligations we can just cut The bridge to nowhere and head back to the mall after it's over. <Facepalm>

I'm still out of rep today. But again +1. It's like people WANT to alienate as many as they can.

For the record I am Baptist and I will vote for Ron Paul.

Funny thing on the Sharia Law thing. One way to counter it is simply ask them ... Do you support Sharia Law in America? Ummm...well of course not! Do you think anybody on your street would support it? No. Anybody in your neighboorhood? Not likely. Anybody in your hometown involved with city government. No ... And if they did they would be voted out. Then how would Sharia Law get started? Fact remains, people here would more likely accept the Darth Vader Code than they would Sharia Law.
