Where the hell is the blimp going?

Even though I didnt give to the blimp, I have a little opinion that I would like for the blimp people to think about.

If you keep pissing off the people who gave and giving the impression to those of us who didnt that you couldnt care less what we think, then who in the hell is going to continue to pay to keep the blimp afloat. Burning bridges is the fastest way for this blimp to be a flash in the pan joke. If I understand correctly, you need a few hundred thousand to keep going. Keep pissing off people and see how long it stays up.

I am not saying that you have done everything wrong, but I have tried to stay in the know on this project and the communication has been really poor. You want to build excitement and ownership of the project and this is an area that isnt being done.

For the uninformed....

This afternoon the blimp will be flying by the 2nd largest tourist destination in NC, the Concord Mills Mall. (Sad that a mall holds that designation, but there will be several thousand people there to marvel at the blimp.) It is the Christmas season and this mall is drawing tens of thousands of people a day right now and this timing will be perfect, being late afternoon.

Over 75,000 people work in downtown Charlotte and the timing of the blimp flying through during rush hour will provide maximum exposure. Traffic is usually at a standstill in many locations, I can't wait to see the reactions when people see it going by!!!

There are well over a million people in the Charlotte metropolitan area and most will be outside this time of day.

Not bad for a first day folks!!!

This is AWESOME, I will be seeing if I can get pictures when it flies through Charlotte.

The blimp is a great investment regardless.
But say if it was a failure, do you know what's worse for the campaign? Having 2 hardheaded ignorant RP "supporters" that ramble on and on for pages on a forum about how much they hate the blimp. Go do something better than complain, and stfu!

Amen.

concerning trolls. if we ban them can they make a new account or does it go off of ip or whatever?

Iowa is too big but NC is not?

I fail to see your logic here

North Carolina has 8 million people. Iowa has between 3 and 4 million. The point is that it's not going to NC, it HAD to leave from NC regardless and it is now flying a few hours south to hit South Carolina for the weekend.

Today alone, the blimp has gone straight through the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill metro area (2.something million people living there), and then Charlotte (also 2 million+ people in metro area, Greensboro metro area (~1 million) and 1 million in Charlotte alone). It would take it weeks to get out to Iowa.

Ron Paul is at 11% in South Carolina, let's see what the blimp can do for him there! Nobody would see the damn thing in a blizzard in Boston, sorry to disappoint. Mother Nature waits for no blimp, even a Ron Paul one.
