I've had troubles with my brother and some friends regarding Iraq. They acknowledge going in was the wrong thing to do, and say the only thing they can't support RP on is that we'll "leave Iraq to fall into chaos" if we pull out now. Then they start talking about the factions we've been arming, and how we're "making progress". I don't know where they get their info from (Faux, I shouldn't wonder).
They don't really have a good answer when I ask what good electing someone who will attack Iran or Pakistan will do... but they insist that it's "immoral" to pull out now.
Somehow though, I just don't believe their line that we are keeping order in Iraq and it will just collapse into chaos and genocide if we leave. Ron Paul is good about figuring out transition plans and whatnot.
So, can anyone tell me where I can find some good info about the current situation, and other situations like this in the past? So I can quell their fears about withdrawing? Thanks!
