When Will Wonder Woman Be a Fat, Femme Woman of Color?

So you didn't read the books or see the movie, but you can confirm that my complaint is strictly based on racism?

If you had read the books, you would know that the character of Roland Deschain was white, and the fact that he was white played a crucial role in subsequent character development.

To chuck that out the window assured a weak screenplay and lousy movie, with none of the dynamics of character interaction that made the books, to me at least, fun to read.

But, if insist, let it be all about race to you.

After the vitriol and hate that has been directed at me and my family and my heritage by some in the leadership of black AmeriKa over the last year, I have not a single $#@! to give if somebody thinks I'm a "racist".

I never actually called you a racist or accused you of racism although I think you are preoccupied more than most people. I just said that your expectation that the movie would be sh*t mainly because they changed Ronald's race was wrong(according to critics). I try very carefully not to accuse anyone of racism because you never really know someone's life experience, demon's they are fighting or their true intent.

I don't need to read the book or watch the movie to know that your big gripe with the movie was the race of the protagonist. One has absolutely nothing to do with the other. Any objective person that has read your posts about the movie can see it. And until today, all the complains I have read from you about the movie was about race. Btw, I have never said or even given anyone the impression that I have read or seen Dark towers. But depending on how the movie goes, I may read the book.

Yea, I have done quite a bit of reading about him and I think I know how his race played a part in the story. Something about one of the black characters trying to kill him because she had a split personality which was militantly racist and hated white people and some other parts where it defined his character. Yea, that split personality character most likely was removed from the movie because of change in Ronald's race. But a half dozen other characters that would have created a more enjoyable story were also removed for other reasons.

I know you have lately been preoccupied with race and gender. You have told me what black people did to you and your family and to that I apologize for it. But yea, the race thing was still a huge disappointment for you and you hated the movie right off the bat primarily because of the race of the protagonist. Again, I would never call you a racist, it is a word I reserve for very few people I actually think are racists. To me, you are a straight talking, good man trying to make sense of the world.
