It is because of the commands of Scripture that you have disregarded the prophecies of the Bible, the science in the Bible, the historical significance of Jesus Christ's resurrection, etc.

16 “For God so loved the world, [1] that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

This is the main reason people cling to Atheism/Evolution. They love their sin and refuse to submit to the command of Jesus Christ. Just like they refused to listen to Noah. Just like they refused to listen to the commands of Godly men and women all throughout history. Read the Old Testament. It's the same story over and over again. Submit to the way of God (Jesus Christ) or face the justice of God for your sins.

The only person who "clings' to anything around here appears to be the religious. My mind is open, as it has always been, to be moved into believing that which has sufficient evidence and observation. I've read the Old Testament, and the New Testament. It was required I also read them in Hebrew for my theology degree... The Catholics at the very least admit that the book is not written by god, which should be an obvious default position... the book cannot explain itself... that makes no sense.

The Quran explains itself, and equally predicts certain events, should we all just rush out and buy into myth of Allah....
