What's for dinner?

Got a wagyu bavette and ribeye, a chicken and some pork sausages to bbq tomorrow. Baking some sourdough bread, making some sauces and things, maybe a salad. Keeping it simple but tasty.

I feeding the flu today in hopes of getting better.

Today I've had my breakfast yogurt concoction, two salads, a bunch of nasty Christmas cookies I was given (old people cookies), and I just fried me up two eggs and made a runny egg sammich with ketchup.

I have to work today but I've packed my food so I'm not tempted to eat fried chicken at work. I put on about 10 lbs on vacation back in October and have been eating like an unsupervised child at a birthday party ever since. It's time to get serious because I only have one pair of jeans that fit and I'm determined not to buy more clothes.

Today's food
greek yogurt/blueberries/almond
tuna pouch
big ass salad with a little avocado oil and vinegar
grapefruit cup (I get the no sugar added)
orange
and maybe another tuna pouch for dinner if I'm hungry
I'm a lazy tuna eater. I just eat it straight from the pouch plain. It works out good for me to have tuna on Fridays because Mr A hates the smell and I don't see him on Friday.

Meatloaf is in the oven. House smells great.
Peeled carrots and potatoes. Seasoned them and cooking in coconut oil and butter covered on stovetop. Glad to use the vegetables. Either use them or end up throwing away. Also have zucchini that I added after carrots and potatoes were about 2/3 cooked.

So meatloaf and vegetable medley.

Pork roast in the crockpot with mango salsa, sweet potatoes with butter wrapped in foil in the oven and asparagus with hollandaise.

Yes, I love this woman.

Tonight just sandwiches, but spent the day making something special for mothers day.

Sausage and Broccoli Raab Lasagna.
Noodle + Ricotta with Chopped Roasted Red Peppers + 1/2 Hot Italian Sausage, 1/2 Sweet Italian Sausage + Broccoli Raab + Roasted Garlic Spread + Cheeses (Asiago, Provolone, Romano, Mozzarella) Repeat for as many layers as you can fit in the pan.

MIL, specifically requested this for her b-day dinner, guess I got some cooking to do this weekend.

I made pizza flatbread with veg (Mr A corrected me). I was really good and easy. I just bought a crust from Aldi and topped it with a thin layer of red pesto (also Aldi) and then added red onion, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, greek olives, red peppers, poblano pepper, garlic, salt, and red pepper flakes.

Me, neither. Plus, Mr A won't take me to fancy restaurants anymore. He got mad at me when I asked for Heinz 57 at Ruth's Chris. He tried to tell me they wouldn't have steak sauce and I promised I wouldn't ask for it but I was lying, lol. They have it, btw. He was mortified when I asked for it and he started kicking me under the table but whatever - ain't nobody coming between me and Heinz 57 on my steak. I don't care if it was cut from a golden cow and seasoned with fairy dust, I'm covering my steak with my 57 sauce.

When at a nicer place like Ruth Chris, the idea is to taste the steak. Unlike dining at the local Rube Burger where it is permissible to bring out the Heinz 57.

An 89 cent Banquet Turkey Pot Pie and 1 Earl Campbell Hot Link on a piece of bread with mustard. No way I'm buying an 8 pack of hot dog buns for a 5 piece hot link package just so I can feed the squirrels and birds the 3 buns left over. Bunch of free loaders can kiss my ass if they don't like it.

I had it again but this time I added baby spinach. I was so hungry, I scarfed down the whole thing. It's all I've had to eat today. I had a few Poshmark orders to pack up this morning and didn't have time for breakfast and when I got to work, I was so busy, I didn't have time to eat. As a matter of fact, I was so busy I was actually surprised when the night girl showed up. I thought she was early because the time went so fast. When I got home, I didn't even take off my coat. I made this pizza, popped it in the oven and let it cook while I took a shower. Normally, I would pour myself a glass of wine to unwind but I'm on day three of my sobriety and I didn't want to blow it.

I ended up making some cauliflower rice to go with my salmon and it was terrible. I tried to get too fancy with the seasonings and *gag*. The salmon was good, though. Brian Setzer loved his salmon. He gobbled it down. I'm thinking about buying him a little collar so no one calls the pound on him but I'm not sure if he will let me put it on him. He did rub on my leg last night but when I moved to touch him, he acted startled and ran off (reminded me of a boy I tried to kiss in elementary school, lol).

Just finished lip-smaking homemade shaved rib-eye Philly cheese steak sanditches and homemade Vidalia onion rings. The kitchen is a mess.

Mr A and the boys had leftovers - fried pork chops. There really wasn't enough for all 4 of us so I just opted for a salad, a veggie wrap, and now I'm snacking on hummus and pretzel chips.
