I'm fixin'...

A fried turkey - I'm not a big turkey fan so I figured fryin' it might make it better. We'll see...

creamed corn - I make kick ass creamed corn. I'm gonna get the boys to shuckin' it tomorrow. I have 35 ears to do.

Mac-n-cheese - time to break out the fat pants.:D

deviled eggs - good ones.

dressing - not a stuffing fan. Dressing's where it's at.

groovy gravy

greasy green beans

mashed potatoes

sweet potato pie

pecan pies (I have to make about 4 of those because they go fast)

chocolate pies (for the kiddos)

french coconut pies (they're easy and people seem to love them - warning, very sweet)

homemade whipped cream

wine

beer

a box of cigars

a carton of cigarettes (I buy a carton for holidays because people always run out)

a fresh deck of cards (we usually end up playing poker)

I have arranged for people to bring rolls, more beer, veg, cranberry sauce, and my crazy ass sister in law said she was making spanakopita - not that I have anything against spanakopita, it's just not the first thing that comes to mind when I think Thanksgiving. o_O What goes good with turkey and gravy? Obviously, spanakopita.

I have both militant Hillary and Trump supporters coming over... :D

I'm fixin' to light a match and watch the fireworks as they argue of their preferred choice of authoritarianism!! Best. Thanksgiving. Ever.

I need a nap now.

Turkey, cornbread stuffing, cranberry orange relish, green beans, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, garden salad, gravy, and crusty dinner rolls. Apple cider.

Mom is bring two pumpkin and two apple pies.

Mother-in-law is bringing sweet potato casserole.

gonna make my maple-syrup and honey based pecan pie, probably going to throw in some cacao powder this year as well.

I would get a couple pellet guns and let them shoot it out .

I will probably be cooking & carving turkey & such , the Mrs makes the oyster stuffing , mashed potatoes , gravy , egg noodles ,green bean casserole , pecan pies , pumpkin pie etc

When i was younger , my Mother would take most of whatever was left of about a 30 lb bird the next day , throw it on the grill and baste it with thick teriyaki sauce and heat it until it carmelized. Then we would eat that as sandwiches or with leftover mashed potatoes , gravy , noodles , green bean casserole , oyster dressing .

No need to worry at Thanksgiving . It is a peaceful time when I teach the white eye to hunt , gather and other useful skills, etc . My turkey did not come from the grocer .

They're thick this year in the Ozarks....

I have the neighbor kid coming over later to teach him how to feed & water the livestock while I am out hunting after Thanksgiving , shame Danke is not here he could go hunting with me .

Spanakopita sister in law is a militant Democrat. She told me I should go to prison for treason.
