What would Rand Say about Feds Making School Accomodate TransGender or No Funds?

Funny. If you think about it, though, that's actually a pretty pussy thing for Chuck Norris to say, considering he's admitting that 1. He was trapped and helpless 2. He depended on his mother giving birth to escape and 3. He had a mother and is, therefore, not God.

Lol at Americans.

Uni-sex showers at universities elsewhere in the world must just blow your fucking minds. *People can be naked together in a shower and not need to fuck each other?*

The whole country is so fucking repressed.

Yeah, that actually does kind of blow my mind. I know if I was naked in a shower with other women, I would be horny as fuck. I view that as a healthy thing. I don't think it's healthy to be a bunch of androgynous blobs doing your most private daily functions together without even a hint of sexual energy. Sounds depressing.

FFS, no one can read minds, or know whats going on inside a persons head...only God knows...seriously, who are you to judge?

You don't have to read Bruce Jenner's mind to know that he's a male. If he isn't, then he should give his medals back.

Judging, of course, used to be a good thing, but now we just use it to silence people. It used to be a good thing to differentiate between right and wrong, normal and abnormal, good and bad. It used to be a good thing to know the difference between male and female. Maybe it's just me, but that last trait seems kinda essential for survival of humanity.

In other words, it's delusional to think you're a girl/boy if you're not.

If I had a child who wished they were the opposite sex I would work with them to accept themselves as they are. There is no way I would be insisting that they use the bath and locker rooms of their opposite sex. Life is hard enough without bring crap upon ourselves. I have known many transgendered people. I will say I know of no other group that is so generally unhappy.

I'm not exactly sure if you're agreeing with me or not because it is entirely possible to help someone accept who they are without telling them they are not what their body is. In fact, it would be hypocritical to do so. The first step to finding a solution is to admit there's a problem. It is NOT to coddle and shelter confused individuals to avoid adaptation and change as much as possible. Perhaps they would be happier if they stopped lying to themselves.

What does what's in Bruce Jenner's mind have to do with the statement that every single cell in his body (apart from his sperm cells) is male and always will be male?

Do you believe that if Bruce wishes hard enough he can change his DNA to female?

What is your definition of "as they are?" I don't know of anyone who felt that Rachel Dolezal should have accepted that she was really black just because she thought she was even though she had white parents.

As for forcing your child to use one bathroom or another, that's not what this thread is about. It's about whether the school should be forced to accommodate that choice. As a parent there are several ways around this without involving the government.

1) Home school

2) Find a private school and/or charter school that is gender neutral. Such schools exist in some parts of the country. If it's really important for your son who wants to be a girl to not use the little boys room, then be willing to move to where you can make that happen.

3) Move to another school district where nobody knows your child and coach him/her on how to pass for the opposite gender.

But no. More and more stupid parents choose option 4.

4) Get to court to force the school system to let your child use the bathroom opposite his/her birth certificate, thus raising the profile of your child to all of the bullies in middle school / high school, and then be prepared to sue the school system when the inevitable happens.

Seriously, parents who choose option 4 are unfit parents in my book. The way to avoid bullying in school is to not draw attention to yourself. So...they draw as much attention to their children as possible. Really, if I was going to go along with my child's decision to be the opposite gender (I wouldn't), I would choose option 3. Seriously, why not? They want to ultimately pass for the other gender. Get practice doing that early. Then when he/she runs for homecoming queen/king and actually wins it will be a real win and not some sick joke played on by him/her by her classmates who will then ruin it for him/her by making fun of him/her.

Also why do you think transgender people are unhappy? That's not a rhetorical question. I'm curious as to your thoughts.

What, to you, does that video prove?

It's not a proof so much as a disproof of the idea that transgender individuals are not the gender they "identify as". In other words, it establishes gender identity as a legitimate concept. For example, individuals with complete androgen insensitivity syndrome (CAIS) are typically born phenotypically female, have a female gender identity, and are attracted to males -- but they have a Y chromosome and internal testes. Are they men or women? Well, the easiest answer is to actually go by the person's reported gender identity. The rarity of the occurrence is irrelevant.

For some reason, I always find it amusing when other people try to tell transgender or intersex people what they are, gender-wise. The world is more complicated than a middle-school biology textbook, and people who feel the need to police transgender people's gender identity/expression seem to forget that they are a drop in an ocean of seven billion people.

Personally I could give a shit if you want to call yourself a lollipop, just don't try and convince me and don't expect me to treat you as one.

The video didn't talk about any of this stuff. It was basically just a commercial. Unlike you, I think the rarity of the occurrence proves a lot. For instance, it proves that this is a genetic mistake. These people are not normal and they are not supposed to be that way. It inhibits their sexual viability to be that way.

In order to prove that the concept of gender is actually legitimate, you would have to prove that the concept of choosing your identity in these rare situations actually establishes a universal rule that gender identity can go this way or that, but the biological and sociological factors prove that not to be the case. For instance, if a sexually androgynous person like that has the phenotype of a male or female with a different genotype, they are far more likely to be fluid about their gender identity than a genetically normal human being. This is because they actually have to make a decision as to which identity is more likely to get them a mate, whereas a genetically normal human already has that established. It doesn't prove that gender identity is fluid for everyone, and it certainly doesn't prove that it's possible to be a woman/man trapped in the opposite sex's body. Unfortunate though it may be, being intersex is a bad thing just like being born with three arms is a bad thing and it doesn't disturb the concept of a genetic default or norm that has been proven to work through thousands of years.

For some reason, I always find it amusing when other people try to tell transgender or intersex people what they are, gender-wise. Nobody's trying to police them. We're simply recognizing that there's a problem. It's sexually disadvantageous to disagree with the sex you were assigned at birth. If you are genetically normal and you disagree, then the problem is no longer physiological but mental, whether it's genetic or not. The simple fact remains, though, that it is, in fact, a problem for the reproductive ability of that individual. They can be that way if they want, but I don't have to accept it as normal because it's just not, and all these experiments with intersex people does not prove otherwise because all it establishes is that something has to be wrong or abnormal for you to be that way.

In any case, there's absolutely no evidence for the common assertion from the far left that gender identity is genetic anyway, so we shouldn't be precluding research that might be able to help these individuals by forming a social stigma that says they're completely normal and should just accept their mental delusion. Common sense would say otherwise, but freedom is in no way inhibited by allowing people the ability to think differently about this situation and try to come up with solutions rather than just having to accept and take part in an obvious mental delusion like you and your ilk would have us do.

I would guess that the unisex facilities have individual stalls, so you wouldn't be in the same shower with them.

As far as your horniness level, do you sport wood every time an attractive girl walks by? The novelty of no clothing on everyone wears off very quickly, and then it's the same as if everyone was wearing swimwear, for instance. And before you start thinking you would get all horny in a locker room, think of grandpas and grandmas walking around naked. That should cure your uncontrollable horniness.

It sure doesn't hurt. There's no telling when I might pitch a tent. Being in my mid 20s, that's still a slight issue most days. As far as the "novelty" of no clothing on everyone wearing off, that's what I'm afraid of. I don't like the idea of looking at it as normal to be naked around each other in public. That just kills the excitement of doing it privately. Part of the enjoyment of sex has to do with the deviance of it all, being something that goes far beyond normal interactions.

Not to mention, the casual existence and convenience of these facilities might give rise to "crimes of opportunity." We cover ourselves and shower separately for a very good reason.

anomaly yes. But you can't deny the anomaly exists, and no one has any stats as to the percentage of this anomaly on a world wide basis. Bottomline...they're still humans and shouldn't be marginalized as you're doing, or attempting to do.

Actually, it's the contrary. They are demanding that the majority of us submit to their perversion. And that is exactly what it is; a perversion. I will always stand by their right to disfigure their bodies or dress up as the opposite sex, but that is where it ends.

Are we "marginalizing" schizophrenics for telling them they need to get help for their psychiatric disorders? Are we treating them as somehow less than human just because there's something wrong with them? No, but that doesn't change the fact that there is, indeed, something wrong with them.

If they want to act like they're normal, then they're free to act that way, but don't expect me to understand, and don't lash out against people who offer services to help transgenders who want to overcome their disorder, as the case may be.

Here's something interesting to consider regarding this "transgender" hullabaloo. Imagine there was a pill that could cure transgenderism, without surgery, hormones or anything else. They'd have to take it every day, and they would feel okay in their own body; it would effectively make them "cisgender" as long as they took it. What do you think the reaction from the pro-trans left would be?

I think they would be outraged, and I think most people familiar with the modern keft would agree. I think they would go on and on about how it's medicating perfectly sane people, and they would call it barbaric. They would rather someone mutilate their body, pump it full of hormones and castrate themselves because they hate any concept of normalcy. If these people could just take a pill and be cured, progressives couldn't virtue signal to each other about how tolerant they are for accepting them. That's what it's always about. The transgendered are mentally ill pawns in a game played by left wing narcissists.

Bruce Jenner wasn't a woman born with internal testes. He was a man born with working testes that grew into adulthood, had kids, then decided for some odd reason years later to take hormones, get them whacked off and change his name. His plumbing was working fine before that. Sure he has a right to do whatever it is he wants to do. And now he belongs in a woman's bathroom. But early on when he looked more like Bruce than he does like Kaitlan, he didn't. It's that simple. If, when your child is born, your doctor tells you "Biologically it's unclear if your child is a boy or a girl" that's one thing. And under those circumstances if I started raising him/her as a her and later he/she said "I really feel more like a he" I would move to another school district, register him/her under a guys name, start giving him/her treatment needed to be totally a him, and do everything possible so that people only knew him/her as him and not as him/her. Your solution is to stay at the same school, announce to everybody on the planet that you have an abnormal child, because even though its not the child's fault it's also not the norm he/she is not the norm and most kids that age want to be normal more than anything, and thus make your child a bully target just because.....well why do you want transgender kids to be outed again?
