it`s not about being evil or nationalist or whatever. Those poor countries are out of our interest zone, even if we hear smt. about them, so its only bad..Image done.
I changed my view few years ago by visiting Ghana. Wonderfull country.
Many african countries ARE interested in solving their regional conflicts themselves, many of them have standing armies and capable to do that.
I´am not talking about Somalia. It`s totally different. Darfur is a shame for UN.

I know, we all do have some kind of problems..If you just knew how much we give IRS every month, you would say : lucky I live in U.S.
But ok. benefits that young ppl can study for almost free means a lot in country, which depends from know-how.

The best way to prevent with starvation and genocides, often caused by corruption is actually surprisingly simple:

A FREE press. (I learned this from Nobel Prize winner: Amartya Sen)

If you want any lasting effect in those countries, the best return on investment, broadcast truth on the radio (long distance short wave), AM radio, TV (if you can) and internet, if any.

Financial help to these government is the WORST thing we can do.

You should be VERY worried about how YOUR OWN country's press has been hijacked. It could happen here too.

Sorry, but I don't think we should spend taxpayer money saving people, who would probably do the same thing to their enemies if the roles were reversed.

When we prop up a group of oppressed people by force, they all to often seem to use their new power to oppress others. What do the American people gain? Nothing, we face the same moral dilemma down the road, and we lose money and American lives in the short term.

Another thing. Listening Obama became to many his supporters like listening to a new profet. So many empty promises and "changes" as like "keep peace by building schools around the world" and whatsoever else. At first look, sounds offcourse better then McInsane, who wants to start new wars, to keep "peace going on". Ppl seems to forget economic basics, whom he really represents, his issues and how FAST he stod by defending THEM in past. Just because he`s African-American and this could unite nation or even nations could soon verify a new big mistake.

I only hope Americans are smart enough to ask what kind of change Obama represents, instead of simply accepting that he represents "change".

I mean, George Bush brought "change"...

Good thing we've found a candidate that actually explains what kind of change he represents, and can back it up with a perfect track record.

It's incredible the amount of success the media has had in hijacking the American government.
