I'm an unemployed house painter who's been feeling the effects of the failing housing market now for about 2 years.
I'm usually slow in work at this time of year anyway, since I live in a seasonal summer tourist shore town.
It's good to see people who work in high income jobs, that are RP supporters.
I think we all know that if the Fed was abolished tomorrow, that it wouldn't exactly be peaches and cream overnight. There are tough economic times ahead REGARDLESS of what happens.
It'll probably get worse before it gets better, even after RP is sworn in as president.
My husband is in the same boat as you. Construction contractor in Florida. Work died off this time last year. He had a fairly good fall and now back to no work. Ouch. Selling tools is not even an option to keep his afloat. I guess all the other contractor/construction worker types already sold their stuff or are trying to. The market is flooded with tools and such. What a shame.
