Does the official campaign have set goals for FL?
I've placed my vote already in Broward county. Assuming Rudy may have dropped into 4th place behind Huckabee, I almost believe that Paul could pull an upset and come out on top of Giuliani. Maybe that's just wishful thinking but I want to believe that the grassroots organization that has taken place down here have done a good job.
I mean, if Giuliani has spent as much time & money as he has down here and is only droppin in the polls, those votes have to be going somewhere. I don't know that there will be a heavy voter turn out with the elderly but I do believe the younger generations will be voting.
I've met some people that will vote for Paul just to show the party how unhappy they are with the current line-up of candidates, which I don't think is a bad idea. I know the point is to get the delegates from FL but I think Paul having a good percentage of the vote it VITALLY as important to the campaign. A strong showing is what is needed. I saw a couple of people on here saying they're going to vote for Romney because they don't want McCain to win the state. I almost puked when I saw that.

The goal should be to not embarrass ourselves.. Anything below 6% wouldn't be good.. I am hoping for double digits. Remember, Ron didn't campaign in Florida at all.

~MY~ goal is to beat Ruddy! How sweet would that be to beat him in Florida? The state he has banked his whole campaign on!
I dont know about any official goals of the campaign but as for me, Ruddy must go down!

Liz :)

I hope he beats Rudy, but I also kind of hope he beats Huckabee, as unrealistic as that might sound. If anything, it might win us some media attention.

The goal should be not to waste on penny on that vote. If they are going to spend money on Florida it should be recruiting delegates.

+1

I have signed up to become one.. Of course it remains to be seen if I am chosen. Though I voted for the man today ;)

Well my goal was to pickup the 300+ signs that people either ran over or pulled out of the ground and thrown down. I made it my duty this weekend to fix every Ron Paul sign that someone else put up.

I also found a guy placing Ron Paul signs and grabbed about 30 from him to place around 3 or 4 precincts.

Lastly I convinced 5 people to vote for Ron Paul, and I can confirm that 4 of them did. The other guy if you read my thread, voted for Ghouliani at the last moment.

I think wanting to beat Huck and Rudy are wishful thinking.

This is a tough state, it's a closed primary, no independents are supposed to be able to vote, and it's an all or nothing delegate state.

The campaign still put some money into the state with some radio ads, and they have a few campaign offices in the state, but I think they realized other Super Tuesday states may be better since they can capture partial delegates, unlike FL.

I don't have any specific goals. Being within a point or two of the 4th placed guy would be great, getting as close to double digit representation would also be great.

I'm also a broward county voter, and my wife already mailed her absentee ballot over the weekend, so there's a few broward votes out there for him.

My goal is to wake up tomorrow and not have to listen to Rudy or McCain anymore..

I'm not sure about the official goal, but I'd be happy seeing a repeat of 50,000 + people voting for Dr. Paul.
