If Ron Paul is done?

Perhaps I did not need to start a topic, but I want to be able to find all of you if this place dissolves. Where will you be?

Ron Paul Forums used to be such a dynamic place to visit... full of plans, and schemes, money bombs, and inside information on our hero.

But what now? Lately there has been nothing other than regrets, sorrow, and trying to resurrect a loss cause. Surely this is not what Ron wanted?

So what is our future? Where does liberty make its home? I want to go there.

After 2008, they renamed it Liberty Forest. Same thing, I think.

Yep, and we should use it to promote Liberty candidates at all levels. We have built a MASSIVE network of liberty-minded folks and we should use this to our advantage going forward. Otherwise, we'll all just splinter again and be that much harder to organize in the future.

replace the ron paul banner with one that includes several liberty candidates, so its no longer paul-centric

Crazy!

Liberty is never a 'lost cause'.

The forum should remain here, under this name in Ron Paul's honor as we continue to fight for those things for which he stood.

To think otherwise is ridiculous.

This place isn't going to dissolve any time soon. Josh said we will keep going as long as he possibly can make it happen, and in any event Ron is in the House until January. I'm assuming he will pick up the reins of Campaign For Liberty, his issue based organization, when he leaves, at minimum.

This site started in 2007, it didn't go away in between elections. Look at all the forums, the campaigns are a big part of what draws people, and traffic goes down between elections, but we are still a community, regardless.

Ron created Campaign for Liberty when he ended his campaign in 2008, it just occurred to me some of our newcomers may not know that, because it had to go almost dormant during the campaign with no real overlap due to FEC regulations. But it has over 500,000 members: http://www.campaignforliberty.org/

I haven't been to the site in a while. It looks like they got a new intern on Aug 31, 2012, so it seems to be stirring awake again, somewhat.

Science is our next project.

Will need lots of energy, but it will create more than we put in.

;)

Nope, I moved to FL and am now working for a well accredited scientist.

I have a family member who just is winding up a project that unfortunately just determined their theory didn't work in that regard. They had a ton of fun blasting stuff in the meantime in a particle generator or something, though.

North Tampa, 4 miles from the beach!

Thank God. I was about to tell you that you really do need to start wearing socks to work.

Future of the forums... right... got off-track.

As far as science, I think it's a facet that'd be great to explore. We have a bit of a community underneath all this arguing. The expertise and projects we could accomplish here with one another's help would be impressive if some of the dust could be shaken off, and all of that contributes to the people who are running for office.

There's definitely an idea in there somewhere.
