What if McCain dies tomorrow?

Let's assume McCain has a heart attack, will be killed by Terrorists or simply get's hit by a thunderbolt tomorrow. Since Dr. Paul is the only republican candidate who's still in the race besides McCain, would that automatically makes him the parties nominee - or may others enter the presdential race at this point as well?

Unless I missed something (which is entirely possible) Romney only suspended his campaign, so it may be brought back to life and he'll take McCains place.

AFAIK it wouldn't make a difference regarding Ron Paul. Someone explained that in some other thread with similar questions concerning McCain.

No, there aren't enough pledged delegates left, and most of his delegates are no longer pledged to him. Romney will only be on one more state's ballot from now on, as well, and that is West Virginia, where 9 delegates are at stake.
