What Happened to the Revolution?

Meet up 5 (NYC) should be adding the event announcement this week. Generally, meetup groups list events that are happening in their local area, within a few weeks of the event. The July 12 march until now was so far off that it was not on the radar screen for promoting. And also, even when I DID promote the April 15 rally in DC for weeks on end, there was little response. I commented after the rally that, "What I did definitely sense is that the 'winding down' rhetoric from Paul, coupled with his decision to not run third party, runs at cross purposes with sustaining the momentum required to promote a high-turnout march or rally at this point. You can't partially put the brakes on the campaign, and simultaneously go full throttle."

you're re-inventing the wheel. We are hoping to launch this today and have 54 volunteers... yes, asking them to add it to the calendar is part of the plan:

You should also be having this conversation on the 511 group, you can reach a lot of organizers over the bridge. Alliance is a message board, not a mailing list and few are active on it. Look at the dates of the last 15 or so messages.

I'm down in the Space Coast of Florida, and the local meet-up groups have divided against each other due to some rather misplaced egos.

I am going to the march, and bringing a few friends with me. If there was enough demand, I would be happy to help charter a bus.

I am happy to help, but have had a hard time finding any cooperative revolutionaries down here. If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears.

Iowa GOP Convention Delayed by Flood!

Iowa's District Presidential Caucuses were to be tomorrow, June 13 in Des Moines and the State Convention would follow on Saturday June 14.

Due to extensive flooding all over Iowa, the Iowa GOP tonight decided to delay the conventions to July 11 and 12.

DON'T come to Des Moines for this weekend!

Yeah, I got the NYC group #50 to post it with 1,200+ as well as three other groups who wrote me to confirm they had added it. Did I know you were going to BEGIN to do this? No....do I mean to step on your toes? No. Do I pay attention to the cathearder mail? No. Why? It's just more stuff.... sorry.

So now that you are going to get this done. Be my guest....

All I really care about is that people post the march on their meet-ups.

I am with you on this, I actually posted a great example of how we contacted meetup groups in the past and how well it worked as well. Sometimes you just have to get things moving even if there are other efforts doing the same thing because sometimes you just can't wait for things to get moving.....

Worst thing that happens is we have a few efforts all doing the same thing which will odds are lead to the job getting done faster anyways.

Contact the meetup groups however it needs to get done and if there is one NOT contacted don't simply assume another "effort" will get it done either.

We can work as a team or on different efforts but are all going towards the same goal so no worries.
