In past some days, Aleppo is almost back in control of Syrian government and ISIS has been nearly routed out of there.
What explains this sudden change within days of Trump win news?

ISIS had been resurging since couple of years after Obama election and had caused massive destruction from Iraq to Libya to Syria and beyond.

Aleppo is not where ISIS is, it's where the anti-government rebels are. Raqqa is the home of ISIS.

Assad and Russia have mostly been fighting in non- ISIS areas. The Kurds have been engaging ISIS much more near the Turkish border.

Russia, Iran, Kurds and attrition

this has nothing to do with US politics

Are you suggesting the rise and impending fall of ISIS in Syria had nothing to do with US policy?

Why then all the GJ's memes cite Aleppo?
In any case, for how many days after Trump win you think ISIS will remain a force anywhere in Syria?

There are several possibilities. Secret funding from the US government drying up. A message from the US to stand down. ISIS fighters abandoning their posts and cause because they know Trump will work with Putin to rout them. Maybe Assad really is gaining ground.

I just accept that we will never know the truth.

ISIS has become a poor investment?

Which one of the possibilities has nothing to do with the recent election?

I'm suggesting the rise is covert action NATO policy.
Its demise is overt RSII policy.

You said "this has nothing to do with US politics". US Policy is dictated by US Politics.

To be clear, is your position that US policy had nothing to do with rise of ISIS?

And if ISIS vanishes/is graetly diminished within a month of Trump taking WH, would that be just a coincidence and have nothing to do with US Political changes or US policy?
