What effect would a PA win have?

I heard today that both Philadelphia and Pittsburgh received a couple of tons of supplies from HQ. I'm guessing radio and TV ads will kick in on April 12th and Paul's support is STRONG in that state!

What effect would a win have here?

We WILL win PA and then sweep all the rest of the delegates. That has been the plan all along.

71 (maybe less) delegates that McCain won't have, and also making a win at the convention much more likely. If we can win in the PA primary, I am certain we can win just about any convention that comes up.

1. Pa is not a blue state. We are purple, could go either way in national.

2. We have huge amounts of support and organizatoin in pa. We are in this for a win. Picking up 75%+ of the delegates is not out of the question, although maybe about 50% is more realistic.

3. I Just recieved word that the campaign is cutting off funding to pa. I also hear they are closing the alexandria office 3 weeks before our primary. Thanks guys.

WHAT!? Why would they do that? You know, they are really screwing us. PA is Ron Paul country, and I really believe we have a chance at winning this state.

Source? If that's true, I wonder what the reason for this is.

I want to know the reason too. What possibly could they do with the remaining money that would be a better use then in pa? I wish i never donated a cent to this campaign.

Do you think they are doing that because they have accepted that they aren't going to win in Pennsylvania? Just a thought.

Pittsburgh and Philedelphia are going to have to carry the weight in this state. Rural PA will be more difficult to win over, from my experience.

Otherwise, I agree with the premise that if we can win PA, with little to no campaigning from Paul, we will have a better chance at the convention. A huge chance? No, but a better chance.

No absolutely not. We are by far the best shot the campaign has had at getting delegates during the entire process. We have over 50% of the total delegates on the ballot in pa, and we have the GOP running scared.

Learn about the process for electing delegates in pa and you'll understand why we have such a good chance.

It's possible they don't want to blow any more money and want to use the rest to set up a PAC or foundation or something for Ron Paul Republicans.

Btw... have you looked into how much Pittsburgh and PA affiliates charge for a minute of advertising? Ron Paul "The High Tide" HighTidePromo.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3MLTvYBQy0&eurl=http://www.ronpaulforums.com/ would probably go over well in those places. You could set up a chip-in

edit: or get one of the PACs to set up a chip-in... Lord Xar who frequents these forums is involved with, and maybe created Americans United For Liberty PAC

I don't think we can win, but if we can get a good %, that's great! If you live in PA, do as much as humanly possible to support RP and spread the message!

I can't honestly say I see anyone running scared at this point like you claim. We haven't even won a single state. What would a no-chance win in Pennsylvania actually accomplish?

Even Ron has admitted that he is not going to win the nomination. I understand the on-going support, as I will always support Dr. Paul's message and respect the man. But we sadly aren't winning this nomination. I think we should accept it and do our best to move on, and make the most of the situation.

This looks like an interesting editing bug... could someone please clarify what is the case?

Original - as it was posted and as it is now:

"3.I Just recieved word that the campaign is cutting off funding to pa. I also hear they are closing the alexandria office 3 weeks before our primary. Thanks guys."

As quoted in EVERY follow up post that quotes it:

"3.I Just recieved word that the campaign is cutting off funding to pa and closing thier only office here 3 weeks before our primary. Thanks guys."

thanks,

It is the alexandria office that is closing. At first I wrote the wrong thing so I went back and edited it. A couple people quoted me before i got the chance to edit it. There is no RP office in pa to begin with. Well not a campaign funded one anyway.

I lived in Maryland for 30 years and I know your state. Your state will not give Paul the nomination. It is a very conservative, older state with traditional values ... full of people who support the Bush Foreign Policy.

Show me proof that people are running scared, as you claim and maybe I'll be inclined to agree with you. Thus far, all I've seen are words.

Some of the Ron Paul supporters who regularly accuse the GOP of "running scared" simply come across to me as living in their own alternate reality.

When did he say that? In recent videos regarding his race, it seems that he is actually excited about whats been happening with Ron Paul delegates and what could happen at the convention. Hell, the official site has a little "Become a Delegate" thing now. It's quite obvious that he knows he has a chance.

Do you know how we elect delegates in pa?
Do you know how many delegates we have on the ballot in the top slots compared to other candidates?

Head over to the pa subforum and read up on our process.
