What can we do to break the backs of central bankers?

The more I read, the more I think that this entire financial disaster was planned. We are being led by the nose like sheep to the slaughter and it appears that there is nothing that can be done about it. Or is there?

What can the average person do that will, in conjunction with other average persons, break the back of the central bankers and let us common folk take control of the sytsem?... or get it on stable footing. Seriously... what movement can we start that can gain traction and get broad support?

Withdraw all deposits from banks, perhaps leaving in only $100 in an account so you can cash checks. Stop getting direct deposit and start cashing pay checks. Pull all money from the stock market. Stop contributing to your 401k or at least contribute the minimum, withdraw the money if possible.

Those are some of the relatively easy and moral options that I can think of off the top of my head. In this thread goes long enough, perhaps more nefarious courses can be thrown out there.

Will that hurt businesses to do that? If so then I can see major resistance from individuals... or they could remove their deposits and put it into a new bank owned by participants...like a credit union

I like it: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=159669

And I think this is the key--compete with them!

And how do we compete with the federally mandated Official Money? Barter. And, yes, you can barter with silver. It's fun. It's easy. And the stuff won't shrivel up and shrink on you.

We can't hurt the banks, they will always be bailed out at our expense.

Being the devils advocate: could the government come in and freeze or confiscate all the assets? that's what I'd worry about.

There are few local currencies out there... maybe we can create a system that ties them all together by means of backing them by gold so that they are accepted anywhere.. but that would just lead to a new currency wouldn't it?

Shift to a line of work that allows you to produce real assets that people want. Accept alternate forms of payment and barter as much as possible. Beyond that, choose to do business only with those that carry the least amount of debt--it is also a good strategy for saving yourself money.

The playing field is tilted too far in their favor to do that at this time.

I don't know. We would do business with it, I think, in spite of that. We don't have to gross more income than they to compete with them, after all. Just enough to keep providing services.

Not much else we can do but get our people elected, or just give them more rope to hang themselves with...

Educate, educate, educate....people need to know whats going on.

Greenspan people as much as possible. Doesnt matter what party theyre in.. Once people get it, they know its a bad deal for america.

An option for the voters would seem to be to elect enough Congress critters committed enough to abolish the Fed and then to over ride the inevitable POTUS veto.

Not very often is attention directed at banks and financial policy like it is right now.

This is the time we need to be educating people on why Fiat Currency is bad.

It would throw a wrench into the system if everyone started writing checks using a thin pink marker. We come across these at work once in awhile, and they have to be looked up manually, because the imager doesn't pick it up. Imagine if all checks were written that way. :D

I just hauled out my Creature of Jekyll Island Book for another peruse. I became instantly riveted. It's ALL in there...the bailout; the scam. Amazing he wrote that book in 1993. I find some of his theories a bit much but the FED Reserve part is right on the nail. CreepY

Any transactions that a bank "assumes risk" for, get a good contract and assume the risk yourself.

Selling a house, car, etc..

Have our "leaders" suggested this to stem the "crisis"? NO.

We're all brought up thinking we "need" banks.

Get out of debt, boycott the banks and the FRN as much as possible which is difficult because of their monopoly. The real way to kill them is something like GoldMoney that competes.
