I'd like to compile a list of good websites to get news from

There is no good news.

Not sure if this would be the sort of thing you're looking for, but I read Zero Hedge a lot. It's almost entirely financial news, but very relevant to the overall theme.

Other than that, I mostly check aggregators for news.

Man this is a good question... When I was learning about everything back in 06' I was getting news from everywhere then narrowed it down to here, goldismoney which closed down and is now goldismoney2 which isn't a shadow of its former, drudge, daily paul...

Today it's basically this forum. The older goldismoney forum was awesome I really miss that place but we still have this place thankfully!
