What are people from Maine called?

Mainah. :D

And you're not one of them unless you have 5 generations to prove it.

I once heard a Maine philosopher comment on birthright citizenship:

"Your a Mainah? Just because a cat has kittens in the oven, you don't call them biscuits"

I thought they were Utes, like the Indian tribe the state is named after?
I couldn't help but think of Joe Pesci in "My Cousin Vinny" when I read that.

Judge: Did you say 'yutes'?
Vinny: Yeah.
Judge: What's a 'yute'?
Vinny: (rolling eyes) Excuse me, the 2 'yooouuththths'. :D

It's still very early but so far Romney is leading with Paul in 2nd and McCain in 3rd. SO get out and vote!

I love the kittens in the oven joke; I've heard it before. I was born in New York but moved to NH when I was 1. Lived in NH until 2003, when we moved to Maine. A friend of mine in High School, who is from Maine, said to me upon learning that I was born in NY, and with a straight face "Oh. I thought you were from heah.(New England)"

My obit in any Maine paper will say "Woman from NY dies."
