What about the Amish?

we have an Amish guy in our meetup

I'm not surprised. As someone else mentioned in this thread, they keep very informed in spite of their lack of technology. You can be sure they know the issues and who is running. They could be a key force in states like Ohio and Pennsylvania. Ohio was the swing state that gave Bush the election over Kerry four years ago, and the Amish vote was probably a big part of that.

This is sort of like convincing the Ents to go and fight the Dark Power, I think.

I wish you good luck.

+1 for good idea.

I like your quote from Wilberforce in Amazing Grace Constitution Supporter. If anyone has not seen this movie yet, go see it. It is on DVD now. It shows how persistence in the political realm in a democratic society CAN eventually bring about change, as they finally ended the slave trade after many years, without fighting a war over it. The voice of the people eventually prevailed over long-term entrenched politicians. It is a true story and will inspire you.

Thanks. Also, when I first saw the Amazing Grace, I actually enjoyed more than I thought I would. (I mean I was expecting to like it in the first place, but it was better than my expectations)

So... The states that have a lot of Amish... Does anybody know when they hold their primaries... Super Tuesday?
